Compact HIT The housing and the mounting ring are of white plastic. The luminaire has a safety glass and the mirrorfinish, aluminium Spherolit reflector is silver anodised. The lateral fixing springs mean that mounting is without tools and the necessary control gear units are available as accessories. Downlights The Compact HIT downlights have wide flood Spherolit reflectors, for metal halide lamps from 20W to 70W. Luminaires with a cutoff angle of 30° are available in sizes 3 to 5. An anti-dazzle cap attached to the non-reflecting safety glass prevents glare from the lamp providing visual comfort. Compact HIT The use of the patented Spherolit technology for Compact HIT downlights has resulted in new aesthetics in terms of downlight lighting. The spherolits produce bright reflections in the reflector to increase the contrast between luminaire aperture and ceiling. Compared with the conventional Darklight technology, Compact HIT have a cut-off angle of 30° to ensure high visual comfort. The luminance distribution on the individual Spherolits results in a comfortable brightness distribution in the reflector. The Spherolit reflector, wide flood, produces a wide and very uni - form light distribution in the room. The light of the compact metal halide lamps creates brilliant effects on objects. Modern metal halide lamps with ceramic discharge tubes combine brilliant light and extreme luminous efficacy with good colour stability and colour rendition. The low energy consumption and high luminance make this lamp a highly efficient light source. The mirror-finish coating of the metallic antidazzle cap helps to produce an excellent light output ratio as does the optimised Spherolit reflector. The output ratio is further enhanced by the coated safety glass of the Compact HIT due to its very high transmission factor. The cut-off angle of 30° of the Compact HIT increases the visual comfort and prevents direct glare.
