Egg/Zurich, November 2007. The Hotel Misani has been operating in its present
form since December 2000, following extensive internal and external refurbishment
and extension work. The Misani concept enables guests to share in shaping their stay
and to blend leisure, enjoyment and experience in such a way as to give their holiday
truly added value. By selecting accessories from the many props held at Reception,
guests can customise their one of 39 individually designed rooms – styled in a
singular 5-continent fashion – to create a real home-from-home. Under the
management of Jürg Mettler (1966), this trendy three star establishment has already
achieved numerable significant awards, including the "SonntagsZeitung" hotel
ranking (category "25 Nice Price Holiday Hotels"); 1st place in the BILANZ ranking by
which Jürg Mettler was also pronounced Hotelier Of The Year (category "25 Best
Three-Star/Unique Holiday Hotels in Switzerland"), nomination in the renowned Focus
Magazine, as well as entry into the list of 1000 Best European Hotels.
Close to the heart of action-packed St. Moritz - offering an abundance of night-life,
sport, culture, shopping and plenty more - the innovative and trendy Hotel Misani is just a
stone’s throw from the bus station, railway station, ice-skating rink and cable ways to the
mountains! For guests arriving by car, the hotel has 18 chargeable garage spaces and 3
outdoor parking spaces.
Unique rooms in three categories
During the first refurbishment phase in December 2000, 12 of the 39 guest rooms
were transformed into so-called "Style Rooms". From one season to another, more of these
"Style Rooms" were added until all rooms had been refurbished by winter 2002. The single
and double rooms with shower/WC are available in the three following room categories:
"Style Rooms"- representing Misani rooms individually created in singular 5-continent
fashion - and with a love of detail - by the artist Marco Zuffelato. Integrated theme topics
include Savannah, Sahara, Outback and dreamlike 1001 Arabian nights. Furthermore,
Alpine fans enjoy heart-warming shades of yellow and orange and attractive pinewood in the
"Alpine Style Rooms" – and romantics who dream of beautiful deserted sandy beaches and
crystal-clear seas can choose a sea shell-decorated "Beach Style Room" or a "Hawaii Style

Room" in shades of ocean-blue. "Basic Style Rooms" also display fashions from the five
continents and, although smaller, they are perfectly suited for individual use or people who
get on well together! "Basic Rooms" make up the third room category – traditionally
furbished with pinewood furniture in Engadine fashion.
Despite close proximity to popular St. Moritz, room prices are affordable and a
"Basic Room", including continental breakfast until 16:00 costs as little as CHF 85 (Euros 53)
in the pre and after seasons, CHF 95 (Euros 59) main-season and CHF 115 (Euros 72) in
the peak season. "Basic Style Rooms" and "Style Rooms" are respectively CHF 20 or 40
(Euros 13 or 26) more. The Hotel Misani remains closed during the months of May and
November.
Misani welcomes individual home lovers!
With its characteristic concept, Hotel Misani aims to provide all guests a new,
contemporary hotel feeling and the possibility of individual creation! Guests can enhance the
pleasure of their stay by supplementing the standard furnishing of their rooms with
customised accessories, borrowed or hired from Reception at a modest charge.
Amongst other things, the following home-making accessories are stocked at
Reception: books, throws, musical instruments, sculptures and an assemble-yourself Carrera
car racing track. And to capture that authentic Swiss touch, walls can even be decorated with
antlers or a cuckoo clock. For hours of playful enjoyment, guests can borrow chess,
backgammon, Monopoly, Mikado (pick-a-stick game) or Swiss playing cards. Mental
relaxation can also be enhanced with incense sticks or a water pipe! Moreover, anyone
missing their house pet while at the Misani can nurture "Flurina" in the comfort of their own
room - a sort of rent-a-pet - with the cute little hamster and including feed and instructions for
its care!
Rentable luxury sets: Treat yourself to luxury
Hotel Misani not only surprises guests with various feel-good accessories, but also
proffers guests great accessory sets at small and modest prices. These creative packages
include the proposed "1001 Night-Feeling Set"- composed of black or champagne-coloured
satin bed linen - from top Swiss textile specialist Fischbacher - together with scented flowers
and a novel to read (CHF 29 / Euros 18), the Cuba libre Set – a bottle of rum, 3 Diet Cokes
and two Cuban cigars (CHF 72 / Euros 45), or the "B&O" Stereo Set , with which guests are
equipped with a high-tech player and spoilt for choice with a number of CDs to take to their

rooms for only CHF 8/Euros 5 per day. The "Coffee time with Nespresso" set permits guests
a luxury hotel feeling with the enjoyment of delicious coffee in the privacy of their own Misani
hotel room – and Nespresso coffee machines and choice coffees are available on a little
trolly for private room-use at only CHF 8/Euros 5 per day.
Variety-packed Cuisine
The trendy and superior lifestyle hotel comprises three own restaurants and proudly
bears 13 GaultMillau points for its excellent tastes with: The Spanish Bodega Misani -Tapas
& Wine Bar, cosy Engadine-style parlour Ustaria Misani, with local and Italian cuisine; as well
as the bistro-like Restaurant Voyage, with bright glass and warming yellow and orange
colours, wood and metal interior and natural cuisine with natural local and international
dishes. The Bar Lounge (20 seats) rounds-off this hospitable selection – where amidst
flagstone and wood-panelling bold interior design, guests meet for a friendly drink or two!
