provides two independent data ports, each with<br />

drives or devices. Separate device timing allows<br />
users to mix and match drives and/or IDE devices<br />

frees up your motherboard’s two onboard IDE<br />
channels to connect more <strong>ATA</strong>PI CD-ROMs,<br />
DVDs, tape backups, or other devices. Use<br />
<strong>Ultra</strong><strong>100</strong> <strong>Ultra</strong> <strong>ATA</strong> ports to run your fastest<br />
<strong>Ultra</strong> <strong>ATA</strong> drives at their highest-rated speeds.<br />

Easy Install, Support<br />
The <strong>Ultra</strong><strong>100</strong> BIOS offers conflict-free, easy<br />
installation with true Plug n’ Play <strong>PCI</strong> support.<br />
<strong>Ultra</strong><strong>100</strong> even lets you dedicate hard drives to<br />
<strong>Ultra</strong><strong>100</strong> and <strong>ATA</strong> P I devices to your motherboard<br />
to eliminate conflicts. In addition, the BIOS automatically<br />
detects if the 80-wire cable is used with<br />
an <strong>Ultra</strong> DMA/<strong>100</strong> drive. If a standard 40-pin<br />
cable is used, an <strong>Ultra</strong> DMA/<strong>100</strong> drive will only<br />
run at 33MB/sec.<br />
