Dismount 1<br />

<strong>1.</strong> Dismount engine cover.<br />

2. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.<br />

3. Remove :<br />

• the engine reaction rod.<br />

• ECU<br />

• the right front wheel.<br />

• the bottom plate.<br />

• the right inner fender.<br />

• the multi-belt.<br />

• crankshaft pulley / vibration damper.<br />

4. Dismount :<br />

• idler pulleys.<br />

• upper timing belt cover.<br />

• lower timing belt cover.<br />

5. Remove the bracket on the engine for the reaction rod.<br />

6. Attach the engine fixing.<br />

Dismount 2<br />

<strong>1.</strong> Turn crankshaft in its rotational sense to compression TDC on cylinder <strong>1.</strong><br />

2. Check the crankshaft position.<br />

3. Remove the plug in the valvever, exhaust side.<br />

4. Install the camshaft template "<strong>EN</strong>-46789".<br />

5. Loosen belt tensioner.<br />

6. Prise off and remove the timing belt, tighten the nut in the belt tensioner by hand.<br />

7. Dismount timing belt.<br />

<strong>1.</strong> Turn crankshaft in its rotational sense to compression TDC on cylinder <strong>1.</strong><br />

2. Check the crankshaft position.<br />

3. Remove the plug in the valvever, exhaust side.<br />

4. Install the camshaft template "<strong>EN</strong>-46789".<br />

5. Loosen belt tensioner.<br />

6. Prise off and remove the timing belt, tighten the nut in the belt tensioner by hand.<br />

7. Dismount timing belt.<br />

Mounting 1<br />

<strong>Opel</strong>/<strong>Vauxhall</strong>, <strong>Vectra</strong> C 1,9 <strong>CDTI</strong><br />

<strong>1.</strong> Mount idler pulleys.<br />

2. Tighten 47 Nm.<br />

3. Check :<br />

• that the exhaust camshaft is blocked.<br />

• the crankshaft position.<br />

4. Loosen camshaft bolt and release the sprocket from the taper.<br />

5. Mount timing belt on crank pulley.<br />

6. Fit the crankshaft locking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-<strong>46788</strong>".<br />

7. Loosen belt tensioner.<br />

8. Use a screwdriver to lever in the hole, until the reference on the belt tensioner lines up with the<br />

reference hole.<br />

9. Tighten :<br />

• the belt tensioner 47 Nm.<br />

• the camshaft toothed drive pulley fixing bolt 118 Nm.<br />

10. Remove :<br />

• the crankshaft locking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-<strong>46788</strong>".<br />

• the camshaft blocking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-46789".<br />

1<strong>1.</strong> Turn crankshaft 720°.<br />

12. Install the camshaft template "<strong>EN</strong>-46789".<br />

13. Fit the crankshaft locking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-<strong>46788</strong>".<br />

14. Control that pointer aligns with mark on belt tensioner.<br />

15. Remove :<br />

• the crankshaft locking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-<strong>46788</strong>".<br />

• the camshaft blocking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-46789".<br />

16. Mount the plug in the valve cover.<br />

17. The remainder is assembled in opposite order.<br />

<strong>1.</strong> Mount idler pulleys.<br />

2. Tighten 47 Nm.<br />

3. Check :<br />

• that the exhaust camshaft is blocked.<br />

• the crankshaft position.<br />

4. Loosen camshaft bolt and release the sprocket from the taper.<br />

5. Mount timing belt on crank pulley.<br />

6. Fit the crankshaft locking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-<strong>46788</strong>".<br />

7. Loosen belt tensioner.<br />

8. Use a screwdriver to lever in the hole, until the reference on the belt tensioner lines up with the<br />

reference hole.<br />

9. Tighten :<br />

• the belt tensioner 47 Nm.<br />

• the camshaft blocking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-46789".<br />

1<strong>1.</strong> Turn crankshaft 720°.<br />

12. Install the camshaft template "<strong>EN</strong>-46789".<br />

13. Fit the crankshaft locking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-<strong>46788</strong>".<br />

14. Control that pointer aligns with mark on belt tensioner.<br />

15. Remove :<br />

• the crankshaft locking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-<strong>46788</strong>".<br />

• the camshaft blocking tool "<strong>EN</strong>-46789".<br />

16. Mount the plug in the valve cover.<br />

17. The remainder is assembled in opposite order.
