Iberia offers flights to Los Angeles: first new route since<br />
signing its Joint Business agreement with American Airlines<br />
and British Airways !!!!<br />
Iberia has scheduled direct Madrid-Los Angeles flights on Mondays,<br />
Wednesdays, and Saturdays. In addi<strong>tion</strong>, Iberia offers excellent connec<strong>tion</strong>s<br />
via Boston, Chicago, and New York every day of the week under a code-share<br />
arrangement with American Airlines. Under the joint business agreement,<br />
Iberia’s code will go on 354 flights operated by American Airlines.<br />
North Atlantic routes MIAMI and SAN JUAN de PUERTO RICO are being<br />
serviced 11 times a week non-stop to Miami and 3 times a week non-stop to<br />
San Juan de Puerto Rico !!!!<br />

American Airlines is taking significant steps to transform and enhance our<br />
fleet so that in five years, we will have U.S. airline industry’s youngest and<br />
most fuel-efficient fleet.<br />
Domestic fleet<br />
• 76 passenger-friendly, fuel-efficient Boeing 737-800 aircrafts arriving<br />
since 2011. The existing 737 and 757 fleet will be retrofitted to match<br />
the new deliveries.<br />
• Taking delivery of 130 Airbus A319 and A321 in 2013 and 130 “neo” next<br />
genera<strong>tion</strong> engine technology from 2017.<br />
Interna<strong>tion</strong>al Fleet<br />
• 10 Boeing 777-300ER are anticipated for delivery in 2012 through 2013.<br />
First Service will be on DFW - GRU in December 2012, followed by LHR -<br />
DFW and LHR - JFK in February 2013 and LHR - LAX in the early summer<br />
2013. The aircrafts will be configured with three classes and will include<br />
fully lie-flat First and Business Class seats with direct aisle access, Main<br />
Cabin Extra, inflight entertainment at every seat, and Wi-Fi capability to<br />
keep customers connected while traveling interna<strong>tion</strong>ally.<br />
• Retrofit of our 777-200ERs and 767-300ERs to have fully lie-flat business<br />
class seats with all-aisle access, interna<strong>tion</strong>al Wi-Fi (777-200), in-seat<br />
entertainment, and main cabin extra.<br />
• 42 state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner are scheduled to be delivered<br />
starting in late 2014.<br />
• Completing a retrofit to the interna<strong>tion</strong>al fleet of 20 Boeing 757s that is<br />
expected to finish before this summer.<br />
Main Cabin Extra<br />
We plan to outfit our entire mainline fleet with Main Cabin Extra, which will<br />
offer more leg room as well as priority boarding. The installa<strong>tion</strong>s will begin<br />
this year and over time will update on all of our aircrafts. Anticipated future<br />
aircraft, including A321s, A319s, B777-300ERs and 787s will also offer Main<br />
Cabin Extra.<br />
Service<br />
• Ticket counter or online check-in? Now addi<strong>tion</strong>ally curb side checking<br />
available for interna<strong>tion</strong>al flights.<br />
• Be invited to raise a glass. Since February customers traveling in the<br />
main cabin on American’s interna<strong>tion</strong>al flights can enjoy beer and wine,<br />
compliments of the airline, as part of the inflight beverage service.<br />
• American Airlines offers In-Flight Wi-Fi internet connec<strong>tion</strong> on many<br />
flights and is expanding this service. Bring your Wi-Fi enabled laptops,<br />
tabs, or smart phones and stay connected.
