1_Tetolon ® Fiber dome with hemispherichyperbolic<br />

profile. The 28 mm<br />

diameter, the dome height and the<br />

special profile ensure maximum<br />

stiffness and the right linearity for flat,<br />

smooth frequency response even<br />

beyond the audible range.<br />

2_The motor assembly special shape<br />

creates perfect field symmetry which<br />

provides startling energy. Thanks to the<br />

use of a double REN ® Neodymium<br />

magnet, ML 280 can maintain mobile<br />

voice coil movement linearity even at<br />

extreme excursions, ensuring<br />

extraordinary energy for state-of-the-art<br />

performance.<br />

3_The upper pole, covered by a pure<br />

copper short circuit ring, generates an<br />

anti-inductive effect, flattening impedance.<br />

CCAW copper covered aluminium<br />

wire voice coil makes this mobile<br />

voice coil very light, yet stiff. These<br />

4_Cooling and decompression radial ducts.<br />

Designed in order to enhance heat<br />

dissipation and to avoid compression<br />

under the dome, they optimise mobile<br />

voice coil damping and resonance. The<br />

holes special geometry and the rear<br />

resonance chamber provide natural,<br />

linear sound by eliminating all noise.<br />

5_ Acoustic chambers with different<br />

loading. The tweeter can be used in<br />

different configurations, since it is<br />

possible to choose the best Q for the<br />

system by changing the rear acoustic<br />

chamber. The chambers simulate<br />

sealed box configuration; they are<br />

filled with natural, non-woven absorbing<br />

material for the component best<br />

damping. The small chamber increases<br />

Q factor and makes the tweeter slope<br />

sharper; the big one makes slope<br />

smoother at lower frequencies.<br />

Stiffness, damping and lightness,<br />

reflections analysis and sound<br />

accuracy for a component which<br />

surpasses any other references.<br />

7_ Ultra-light Mylar membrane, 117x15 mm,<br />

with silver deposit. The special<br />

treatment with valuable metal gives<br />

Mylar the right tiffness; thanks to it,<br />

to the material lightness and to the<br />

The gasket is designed to allow<br />

In the traditional position a rubber<br />

gasket ensures a perfect hermetical<br />

seal and the inserts, imitating the<br />

spokes lines, protect and cover the<br />

When the sub is used with the<br />

magnet visible, the gasket<br />

can be mounted upside down in<br />

The support is set on the cone<br />

bottom through a self-referring<br />

system, for a mechanically perfect<br />

mounting.<br />

24_ The spider support contributes to<br />

total mechanical performance. Made<br />

to improve the dispersion of the heat<br />

generated by the coil and to reduce<br />

the compression below the spider,<br />

it favors the thermal exchange with<br />

the outside increasing the power<br />

radial holes in the central pole in the<br />

bottom plate carries the air compressed<br />

by the cone movement directly to the<br />

mobile voice coil and outside the magnet<br />

assembly, producing a 30% fall of the<br />

improvement of the air flows inside<br />

the motor, with this peculiar channel<br />

geometry, creates a forced ventilation<br />

circuit that drastically reduces the<br />

dynamic compression, raising the<br />

applicable power over the top.<br />

transfer the current to the voice coil<br />
