WACO band resaws offer the optimum solution for every requirement: they perform as well in a small
business as they do in plants for large-batch production, as well as a single saw as they do as a twin version
for double cutting. From the entry model BKS through the high-performance saw BKL to the highspeed
saw BKW that has a feed speed of up to 120m/min – every machine offers performance potential,
quality and reliability.
Further advantages stem from their ease of use and application-oriented software that caters for all the
demands of daily use. Accessories, such as bevel-cut and automatic middle-cut devices increase the range

WACO BKS band resaw:
Strong and versatile, even without our optional extras
The BKS is a robust band resaw for
car-pentry workshops and moulding manufacturers
with high demands on saw
cutand service life. The stable band guidan-ce
guarantees large cutting heights
and the wide saw blade ensures a high
degree of dimensional accuracy and a
long service life. The standard equipment
includes the infinitely adjustable
electronic feed up to 40m/min, the bevel-cut
device for up to 45º and continuous
dimensional accuracy thanks to
hydraulic blade tensioning. The simple,
fast setting of dimensions ensures highproductivity.
As an option, we offer a
The BKL reaches feed speeds of up to
60m/min. The standard equipment includes:
Control for bevel-cut adjustment
up to 45º (single and twin version), automatic
middle-cut device and serial cut
device. A heavy, infinitely adjustable hydraulic
feed unit allows perfect wood
guidance. Precise dimensional accuracy
is achieved by means of the smallest
possible saw cut and hydraulic blade
tensioning. The fast setting of dimensions
increases productivity. The BKL is
ideally suited to integration into fully or
semiautomatic sawing lines.
PLC control for programming the clokked

The BKW is - as a single or twin band
saw - the high-speed band resaw with
feed speeds of up to 120m/min. It specializes
in large dimensions at high
speed.
Even the standard model has many

WACO PLC control system:
Set – save – recall
Using WACO’s easy-to-use PLC
control system, all important functions
can be set, saved and recalled later.
It is only in this way that you can safely
store experience gained once and
save yourself further test phases.
Set and save the following with the
intelligent PLC control system:
• feed speed
• saw blade speed
• position of the feed rollers
(saw dimensions)
• fence side (only BKS series)
• operating hours indicator
• control for fixed dimensions or
middle cut device (only BKL and
BKW series)
All saved settings can be recalled at any
time. Oversight and transparency are
further advantages!

Clever solution with a big effect:
Bevel-cut device for maximum material yield
The bevel-cut device that can be tilted
to 45º increases the flexibility and
application possibilities of the saw enormously.
It is available as a tiltable fence
side for the BKS. The heavy design for
the BKL model is connected with the
complete angling of the table and the
feed unit. This allows the workpieces to
be guided precisely and transported automatically.
It furthermore leads to the
highest level of accuracy, even at large
dimensions and high feed speeds.

Automatic middle-cut device

The automatic middle-cut device in two
design variants for the BKL and BKW

With a fixed stop that ensures that the
workpieces on the right are cut exactly
to size, while the workpiece on the left
can be wider or narrower.

In the second version, both sides are distributed
in such a way that the right and
left workpieces are wider or narrower.
Optimum material yield is achieved in
this way.

Which band saw is the right one?

dependent on the cutting height.
