Sharing Experiences on Four Wheels
Skateboad pro and Blue Tomato team rider Philipp Schuster invited five of the most talented
young skaters in Austria to the RED BULL Under My Wing workshop in Vienna, sharing his
passion and experiences with them over the course of a weekend.
How many kids dream about being able to spend a day by the side of a successful professional
skater? Philipp Schuster has been actively influencing the skateboard scene for the past
decade and wanted to share his far-reaching experience with the younger generation.
It was this desire that brought about the idea of the Under My Wing workshops, which
made it possible for five of the country‘s up and coming riders to get a realistic look at
the life of Philipp Schuster as a professional skater. The Viennese skater went on a week
long tour of Austria to pick out the workshop crew himself. Santino Exenberger, Manuel
Correa Kunnen, Sebi Fox, Wolfgang Größinger and Dávid Mihályfi were eventually chosen
for their skills, style and personalities.
The result of the weekend was considerable, with action photos, portraits and interviews with all the
participants, as well as an edit from the workshop. As long time editor of TROTTOIR skateboard
magazine, Philipp and the participants decided to bring out a RED BULL Under My Wing
magazine. The material produced over the weekend will be published in the magazine as well as being made available to the German-
speaking skate media, ensuring that the kids will all get a mention across the board.
Dávid sums it up: „The atmosphere was unique. It was a terrific weekend that I wouldn‘t want to miss under any circumstances.“
