Here's a quick look at how the two at'five Ero.b seball players from<br />
<strong>Southington</strong> are doing:<br />

The <strong>Southington</strong> High<br />
School Girls' team competes in a<br />
10-meet schedule, which runs<br />
from Sept. 16 through Nov. 6 <strong>and</strong><br />
includes Fermi, Bristol Central,<br />
Hath Hall, Bulkeley, Conard<br />
Bristol Eastern, Maloney, Ne.wington<br />
<strong>and</strong> the CCC South Co.nferenee<br />
meet.<br />
She hopes that the girls' team<br />
will learn <strong>and</strong> develop in the<br />
coming,season. "Swimming is<br />
always learning experiehce," said<br />
Sullivan. "But I didn't learn that<br />
1, 3, 8, I0, 15, 17 :ind 22. Those<br />
dates are fur Session I only <strong>and</strong> are<br />
subject to eharige due to school<br />
activities or when schools are<br />
dosed due to indem¢nt weather. It<br />
is possible some of the hbove dates<br />
may have to be cancelled. There<br />
are no cl.asses during vacation or<br />
holidays.<br />
All participants must wear<br />
meakers <strong>and</strong> omfortabl clodffng<br />
<strong>and</strong> are encouraged to bring exercise<br />
mats <strong>and</strong> free weights ranging<br />
from I m 10pounds.<br />
• Participants also must bring<br />
series conducted once week for<br />
five weeks, it is designed for those<br />
who are new to the game as well as<br />
experienced golfers who:need to<br />
work on the fundamentals of the<br />
swing..The class will cover the full<br />
swing, approach shots <strong>and</strong> the<br />
short game. Strategy <strong>and</strong> the hales<br />
of the game will also be discussed.<br />
This five-hour series is for the<br />
intermediate <strong>and</strong> dvanced golfer<br />
who wish to improve thg.ir, enjoy-"<br />
ment of the game as well as their<br />
level of play. While the class will<br />
cover di.stanee, accuracy <strong>and</strong><br />
to.'12 smderffs per class to insure<br />
optimum student teacher ratio.<br />
Through this training golfers can<br />
expect to achieve" mental control<br />
the physical a pects of the g me.<br />
Classes will be taught by Chet<br />
Dun.lop, Jr., the director of the<br />
New Engl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> ch.ool of Golf.<br />
He was named one of the top<br />
three teachers in the state bY Golf<br />
