Move over Nucky Johnson and HBO’s fictional Boardwalk Empire and make way for the true<br />

story of Philip “Crazy Phil” Leonetti, one of Atlantic City’s most notorious gangsters,<br />

as his long anticipated tell all of money, murder, mayhem and the mob is set to be released<br />

this fall and already has piqued the interest of several Hollywood heavyweights who feel<br />

that the story of Leonetti and his uncle, jailed mob boss Nicodemo “Little Nicky” Scarfo,<br />

may be tinsel town’s next big gangster flick. The book, tentatively titled Mafia Prince,<br />

is being authored by Leonetti with the assistance of true crime writers Scott Burnstein<br />

and Christopher Graziano and from what we have been told, may include a reference to<br />

an article that previously appeared in The Boardwalk Journal. <strong>Stay</strong> tuned for more<br />

information on Mafia Prince in the coming months …<br />

Speaking of references to The Boardwalk Journal, The Official Lifestyle Magazine of<br />

Atlantic City & The Jersey Shore is set to make its debut on the current season of Bravo’s<br />

‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’, as the August 2011 issue featuring Melissa Gorga<br />

on the cover is scheduled to figure prominently in an upcoming episode. Bravo was nice<br />

enough to send screen shots from the episode to The Boardwalk Journal, where Housewives<br />

Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita are seen reading the magazine and the back cover,<br />

which features an AtlantiCare ad is prominently displayed. See, it does pay to advertise<br />

in The Boardwalk Journal. BWJ President / CEO James J. Leonard Jr., Esq. and his wife<br />

Rebecca are also expected to appear in the episode, which was filmed last fall in New York<br />

City and celebrated the release of Gorga’s debut single “On Display.” Leonard appeared<br />

last season on the show when he introduced Gorga to music producer Corte Ellis, who<br />

produced “On Display”, as well as Gorga’s new single “How Many Times”, both of which are<br />

available on iTunes …<br />

Speaking of TMZ worthy personalities, we bet you didn’t know that one of the more<br />

infamous women ever featured on TMZ is currently living and working in Atlantic County,<br />

after being involved a bloody beat down with a Z list television personality several<br />

years back. That’s all we can or are willing to say at the present time, so as not to<br />

provoke a repeat performance of said beat down …<br />

Many of The Boardwalk Journal staffers are big fans of The Beastie Boys, who were<br />

recently inducted into The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, and who recently lost founding<br />

member Adam Yauch p/k/a MCA, who died from cancer at the age of 47. We would like to<br />

acknowledge his passing and extend our condolences to his family, friends and fans …<br />
