Misys Mobile for Cash
Management extends the
comprehensive functionality
of Misys Cash Portal to the
mobile device.
Corporate banking has accommodated mobile
devices for some time, but this has been limited
to simple tasks based on sending and receiving
emails. Meanwhile, the advent of the smartphone
and the growth of personal online banking have
raised our expectations of what can be delivered
by our banks. Corporate treasurers are now asking
why the free online and mobile banking services
they receive as personal customers are far superior
to the services they are expected to pay for as
corporate customers.
However, there are important differences between
corporate and retail banking and these differences
go some way to explaining banks’ caution over
offering mobile banking to their corporate
customers. Transactions made by corporates can be
a lot more complex than those made by personal
customers; structured in different parts and
executed against different triggers, across multiple
geographies and often phased by instalments.
The values of those transactions can be far higher,
requiring multiple approvals and many will continue
to be initiated and managed from the office.

different transaction banking products.

Alerts and Notifications
Mobile telephones offer an immediacy that cannot
be achieved by other banking channels. We carry
our mobile telephones with us wherever we are
allowed to take them, and the nature of these
“always on” devices allows for the instant receipt
and acknowledgement of messages.
Misys Mobile for Cash Management enables
corporates to use their mobile telephone to receive
information on events within Misys Cash Portal,
as they are happening.
Importantly, the individual user remains in control,
selecting what notifications they wish to receive
and - just as importantly - how they wish to receive
them: either via SMS text messaging or via Push
Notifications for those devices that support this.
Approvals
It is likely that corporates will continue to perform
the bulk of their cash management with their bank
via a device that has a larger screen and an easyto-use
keyboard - a desktop/laptop computer or
tablet. However, mobile devices are perfect for the
approval and release of transactions.
Misys Mobile for Cash Management takes the
extensive approval model from within Misys Cash
Portal and enables corporate users to perform
approvals via their mobile device and always
subject to permissions and secure authentication.
