The Mazurian lakes with their glacial moraine landscape and legendary beauty were
explored by us way before the entry of Poland to the EU and in the course of this
exploration we determined that this area is a “must have” for any company involved
in boating holidays. Well now is that time, we are pleased to announce we now have
a programme exploring the 3000 lakes. The land of a “Thousand Lakes” is a boating
paradise. Its 25 large lakes linked by canals, rivers and lochs, offer everything a
boating enthusiast could need. There is something for everyone – boating, fishing,
hiking, archaeologists’, bird watchers and much more.

2.4. Certificate of Charter
Whilst on most of the French waterways you can go boating without a boat
driving licence, Germany has a number of fairly specific rules:
Rule 1: If you are required in your home country to have a licence to drive a
boat then the same applies in Germany. i.e. you need a boat driving licence.
Rule 2: There are some areas where a licence is not needed (regardless of
whether a licence is required in your home country). Licence free cruising is
possible from our bases Hafendorf Müritz, Granzow (Minimarina Ferienpark
Mirow), Schwerin, Marienwerder, Brandenburg (Havel) and Zeuthen. Any
boat that is in our fleet can be driven in these destinations without a licence.
Therefore you will get an instruction of three hours. After that you will get a
certification of charter which allows you to drive our boats for the time of your
holiday.
Our bases Zeuthen, Brandenburg (Havel) and Marienwerder are located in a
“licence required” area (see rule 1). An instructor on board will cruise you to
the licence free area near by.
