AIR CONDITIONING<br />

All cabins and public rooms are air<br />

conditioned. You can regulate the cabin<br />

temperature individually using the switch<br />

on the wall. If necessary, your cabin stewardess<br />

will assist you.<br />

BARS<br />

For the daily opening hours, please see the<br />

daily program on-board. Weather permitting,<br />

drinks will also be served<br />

on the Sun Deck.<br />

BATHROBES AND BLANKETS<br />

Bathrobes and blankets for the deck chairs<br />

will be provided free of charge upon request.<br />

Please ask your steward or stewardess.<br />

CAMERA SUPPLIES<br />

We recommend that passengers bring film,<br />

memory cards, batteries, etc., with them as<br />

such items are not always readily available<br />

on-board or in the ports of call.<br />

CLOTHING<br />

Dress should be casual during the day and<br />

smart casual during the evening. On two<br />

formal nights suggested dress will include<br />

jacket and tie for the gentlemen and cocktail<br />

attire for the ladies.<br />

CURRENCY/PAYMENT<br />

The currency on-board is the <strong>Euro</strong>.<br />

<strong>Euro</strong> checks and travelers’ checks as<br />

well as the following credit cards are<br />

accepted: American Express, Diner’s<br />

Club, <strong>Euro</strong>card, Visa and MasterCard.<br />

US dollars and E.U.-Currencies will<br />

also be accepted for the settlement of<br />

the final account.<br />

DAILY PROGRAM<br />

The daily program is left in your cabin<br />

each evening. The program includes<br />

events, dress recommendations, departure<br />

times for excursions as well as arrival/<br />

departure times for ports of call.<br />

DECK CHAIRS<br />

Chairs, cushions and blankets are<br />

provided to all guests.<br />

DIETARY REQUESTS<br />

Please contact the Restaurant Manager on<br />

the day of embarkation and advise of any<br />

requirements. Special requests should be<br />

submitted in writing to the cruise line at<br />

least 4 weeks prior to departure.<br />

ELECTRICITY<br />

220 volt AC, 60 Hz. The bathrooms have<br />

outlets with 120/220V and 60Hz, which<br />

can be used for electric shavers and elec-<br />

tric toothbrushes. All other outlets are<br />

220V in the cabin. Please remember to<br />

bring electric converters and adapters for<br />

all other electrical equipment, as they may<br />

not be available on-board.<br />

ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM<br />

Various local and on-board entertainment<br />

is offered on all our vessels. Cabins also<br />

feature radios with multi-channel selections<br />

and televisions.<br />

EXCHANGE<br />

Cash can be exchanged at Reception. <strong>Euro</strong><br />

checks and travelers’ checks can also be<br />

cashed.<br />

GAMES<br />

Games are available on-board. Please ask<br />

at Reception.<br />

GRATUITIES<br />

Gratuities are not included in the cruise<br />

fares. Recommended gratuities are (per<br />

person, per day): Cabin steward—$6.00;<br />

Wait staff—$10.00<br />

HAIR DRYERS<br />

Hair dryers are available on-board either<br />

in the cabin or upon request.<br />

HAIRDRESSER/BOUTIQUE<br />

Please make your appointment in the<br />

salon upon embarkation. You will be able<br />

to purchase accessories, perfume, suntan<br />

lotion and many other everyday articles in<br />

the boutique.<br />

INTERNET ACCESS<br />

On board internet access is available, subject<br />

to connectivity. Arrangements can be<br />

made at Reception. There is a charge for<br />

this service.<br />

LAUNDRY<br />

A price list will be placed in your cabin.<br />

Further information can be obtained from<br />

your cabin steward or stewardess.<br />

LANGUAGE<br />

Both English and German are spoken<br />

on-board.<br />

LIBRARY<br />

A broad selection of bestsellers, novels<br />

of world literature, crime fiction, travel<br />

books and coffee-table books, are available<br />

on board. Please return borrowed<br />

books before checking out.<br />

LOST AND FOUND<br />

Please check with Reception for lost and<br />

found items.<br />

door service. Please note that luggage can<br />

only be sent to/from hotels, not directly<br />

to/from ship.<br />

MEDICAL ATTENTION<br />

Passengers are responsible for bringing<br />

their prescription medication(s). While<br />

on-board, any illness should be reported<br />

to the resident ship’s doctor. Treatment<br />

is subject to fees and will be charged<br />

accordingly. Passengers under a doctor’s<br />

care or with pre-existing conditions or<br />

physical impairment must inform the<br />

company prior to departure and register<br />

with the doctor upon embarkation. Please<br />

be advised that none of our vessels offer<br />

elevators. Only the MV Dresden has a<br />

cabin to accommodate wheelchair-bound<br />

passengers.<br />

SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES<br />

The cruise line will accept no liability for<br />

articles of value. Articles of value should<br />

be kept in the safe deposit boxes at the<br />

Reception desk.<br />

SHORE EXCURSIONS<br />

Some shore excursions are included in<br />

the cruise-tour packages. Additionally,<br />

excursions can be pre-purchased in a<br />

money-saving package for select itineraries<br />

or purchased individually either before<br />

the cruise or on board. Pre-purchase must<br />

occur at least 21 days before sailing.<br />

SMOKING ON-BOARD<br />

Smoking is not permitted on-board except<br />

on the open deck.<br />

TABLE RESERVATIONS/MEALS<br />

The restaurant accommodates all passengers<br />

at one sitting. Table reservations<br />

should be made upon embarkation and<br />

will be taken by the Restaurant Manager.<br />

Please refer to the Daily Program for exact<br />

meal times.<br />

TELEPHONE/TELEFAX<br />

There is a telephone in all cabins for intraship<br />

calls. International calls and faxes, via<br />

satellite, can be arranged through the reception<br />

desk.<br />
