The nGenius Service Assurance Solution
Enhances Functionality for the
Financial Industry
In recent years the financial industry has worked to meet
the growing need for market data volumes and everincreasing
speeds for algorithmic trading and critical market
feeds that their customers demand. In order to achieve
these goals these organizations have turned to new
messaging protocols exclusively designed for financial
electronic communications that increase messaging
throughput rates while at the same time reduce overall
latency in order to drive productivity. Many IT organizations,
however, are discovering that these faster and higher
volume protocols are virtually impossible to track and
monitor with most traditional monitoring tools.
The nGenius® Service Assurance Solution has recently
introduced additional functionality geared toward meeting
the needs of these financial IT operations. By leveraging
close ties with major exchanges and primary financial
players, NetScout® Systems, Inc. bridges the gap between
the business of trading and the underlying technology of
packet analysis by providing comprehensive visibility into
financial trading applications.
New Consulting Services
Many of today’s IT organizations are operating with
increased workloads and decreased staffing resources and
this often leaves them with little time for deploying new
services or for taking a more proactive stance toward
performance management. As a result of these ongoing and
escalating challenges, the NetScout Consulting Services
team has created several new specialized offerings that are
designed to:
Ease internal staffing and time challenges
Accelerate time to value
Reduce learning curves through practical onsite
knowledge transfer
Deliver short-term results in conjunction with a longterm
strategy
The new consulting services either provide deep and specific
knowledge around NetScout solutions or are focused on
meeting the specific needs of vertical specialties.
The Market Feed Operation Review proactively monitors
the regularly scheduled and published changes in market
feed standards and then implements all necessary changes
to the nGenius System to ensure continued visibility into
these highly sensitive trading environments.
The Financial Services Network Assessment identifies
the specific technical challenges of monitoring the highly
latency-sensitive services delivery environment of financial
services companies.
The Certification and Accreditation Assistance Service
accelerates Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
certification of NetScout equipment for use in federal
government networks.
The nGenius K2 Optimization offering defines, tunes and
configures nGenius Performance Manager and nGenius K2 to
support the customers most critical applications and
