REGULATIONS FOR PORTERS,<br />
Asjixedby the Magistrates, March 1st, 1798.<br />
By an act <strong>of</strong> the Magistrates arid Town Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>Glasgow</strong>, no<br />
Porter shall refuse employment when he is not otherwise engaged,<br />
under the penalty <strong>of</strong> 2s. 6d. sterling for the firj.t <strong>of</strong>fence, 5s. for the<br />
second, and iOs. for every subsequent olfence; and all Porters v. ho<br />
say they are -engaged, shall specify the person* by whom, and the<br />
hour at which, they are engaged] and they shall not refuse to be<br />
employed in the interval between the time they are required to<br />
