3. Proper maintenance on a regular basis is essential to the appearance and<br />
the wear life of the tile.<br />
4. Tiles may have slight color variations not detected at the factory. All tiles must<br />
be dry laid and examined for color acceptance before being installed (see<br />

5. Heavy sunlight penetration from direct or glass-filtered sources may cause fading.<br />
6. Certain chemicals and various substances normally attack rubber formulations<br />
<strong>Roppe</strong>’s rubber tile should not be used in commercial or residential kitchens and<br />
or areas where impregnation from cooking oils, vegetable fats, etc., is likely to<br />
occur. If any particular chemicals or substances are going to be present in the<br />
environment, adequate testing should be done in advance to ensure suitability<br />
for that application.<br />
7. Certain oils and antioxidants sometimes used in the manufacture of rubber tires<br />
can cause staining and discoloration. In auto showrooms, for example, we<br />
recommend that tires NOT be allowed to come in direct contact with the tile;<br />
we suggest utilizing a pad made from carpet, Masonite ® , scrap tile, etc. Call factory<br />
for specific details.<br />
8. Not recommended for use in hospital operating rooms or computer rooms;<br />
NOT a conductive tile.<br />
