RESIDUE
MANAGEMENT SOIL FRACTURE SOIL PROFILE SIZES
Aggressive residue
handling, sizing, and
incorporation come from
front disk gangs that size
and bury residue. All three
models are equipped with
parabolic cushion-trip
standards. Rear disk gangs
bury residue and leave a level
soil profile.
Flexible residue
management: Hydraulically
adjustable mulching disks
let you control the depth of
the individually mounted
front disks for cutting and
sizing residue. Hydraulic
down pressure protects your
disks from rocks or other
obstructions. Front disks
maintain constant down
pressure across rough terrain.
A maximum combination
of surface and deep
fracture is the result of
spring-reset cushion-trip
standards and tandem disk
gangs. Disk gangs operate
down to 6 inches deep.
Parabolic standards shatter
compaction as deep as 16
inches. Attach different
ripper point widths for more
fracturing combinations.
Adjustable deep fracture:
two ripper standard
spacings are available.
Select 24- or 30-inch shank
spacing for smooth residue
flow. This provides you with
maximum soil shattering at
a consistent depth. For even
more soil shattering control,
you can attach different
ripper point widths to the
2700’s standards.
An unmatched level soil
profile is obtained with the
512’s tandem disks. A fixed,
18-degree front gang angle,
combined with low concavity
disk blades mean the 512
is less speed sensitive,
resulting in less soil throw.
The two-position rear disk
gang smooths the soil
surface creating a superior
level profile.
Flexible profile: adjustable
TruPosition rear conditioner
uses 280-pound trip
standards and is hydraulically
adjustable. You control the
type of soil profile you leave
behind. Combined with
the aggressive rear disk
arrangement, the 2700 will
provide outstanding leveling
performance.
12-ft. 6-in., 17-ft. 6-in.,
and 22 ft. 6-in widths mean
there is a 512 disk ripper to
fit your tractor horsepower
requirements. With the 512,
you won’t waste time making
multiple tillage trips across
your field to incorporate
residue or to break up soil
compaction. John Deere’s
