The Landaus - Provide soundtrack
for British Bobsleigh
Teams promotional video
The Landaus are a local band aged between 19 and 20 with
three of their members from Cottingham.
They are working hard on new material and are close to being
signed up by professional management. In March, The Landaus
were asked to travel to Austria to play at the Great British bobsleighing
teams award ceremony in Innsbrook. They were so well
received that The British Team have made a promotional video for
the sport and used the Landaus music and video footage as its core.
This can be viewed either on Youtube or the Landaus myspace/landausrock.
The Landaus are travelling to Germany to play a small tour. and
are flying back just in time to play the o2 wireless festival in Leeds
playing along side acts such as the Kaiser Chiefs, the White Stripes,
Daft Punk and many more!
They are also on the short list to play the biggest festival in
Britain . . . Glastonbury! They will be playing on the unsigned upcoming
bands stage at both festivals. They have a lot of record company
interest at the minute and there’s a lot of oppotunities coming
there way this summer, playing bigger and better gigs like The
Cockpit in Leeds. Their fan base is increasing every day, in a recent
interview, Paul Heaton (Beautiful South) quoted
“I’m an armchair supporter of the landaus!, just after xmas the
drummer left but they soon got a replacement, Chris Forward, the
ex ‘Dirty Dreamer’ drummer which brought a breath of fresh air to
the band. They’ve recently been snatched up by a management
company and are looking and soundin better than ever.” See them
