Here are photos of projects we have 

realized in recent months. Each is a 

different technique, adapted to fit the 

budget of the customer. 

- A concelebration set for the National 

Eucharistic Congress in Knock 

(Ireland), incorporating digital 

prints of icons. These icons were 

written especially for this occasion, 

to represent the journey of pastoral 

preparation for the Eucharistic 

Congress. 

- A diocesan set of concelebration 

vestments for the Diocese of 

Knoxville, TN (USA), with machine 

embroidered crest of the diocese, on 

velvet bandings. 

Illustrated on page 2. 

- A hand embroidered chasuble for the 

Cathedral of Monaco, with the coat of 

arms of the principality.

These stylish interchangeable superfrontals are lined, interlined and easy to attach 

with velcro (positive part hooklets attached to the altar cloth, negative part felt 

attached to the superfrontal), making it possible to leave the main cloth on the 

altar. With these superfrontals, use a heavy altar cloth (e.g. in Omega-fabric), or an 

altar cloth with lining and interlining (double price) to reduce sliding.

Brody Neuenschwander is an American text artist living in Bruges. He has made a series of contemporary 

vestments, reflecting his calligraphic style and exploring the boundaries between text and image. 

These vestments are digital prints, a state-of-the-art technique that Slabbinck has introduced to produce 

limited quantities of liturgical vestments. 

Chasuble in Pius, a 100% Trevira fabric. Width 150 cm, length 135 cm; unlined; with inside 

stole. 

With digitally printed design by Brody Neuenschwander, an American calligrapher and 

text artist whose work explores the boundaries between text and image.

5006 Features the words “Lumen Christi. Deo Gratias.”, which are recited as the Paschal 

candle is processed up the aisle of the church on Easter Saturday. Beneath, a detail from 

an 11th century German manuscript and a fragment of the letter L (for Liber, book) 

decorated with Celtic knot‑work, a symbol of eternity. 

5007 Pentecost chasuble. In the background: detail of the Pentecost mosaic from San Marco 

in Venice, placed over the heart of the priest and carries the dove, from which radiate 

twelve rays symbolizing the apostles. In the foreground in golden yellow: “Veni Creator 

Spiritus” sung in the Pentecost liturgy. 

5008 On the right side is a page from a medieval bible, written in dense and dramatic 

Gothic script, which represents the preaching of the Gospel. To the left in bold, yellow 

calligraphy: “Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth” from the Sanctus of the Mass. 

5009 Purple chasuble, with text of the Magnificat for Advent, and a stripe of dense, almost 

troubled kind of writing representing the dark night, but written in gold and ochre 

representing the light of the Resurrection at the end Lent and the birth of Christ at the 

end of Advent.
