Panama Hats Panamas are the classic hot weather hat. Popularized by world leaders<br />
such as Napoleon III, Teddy Roosevelt <strong>and</strong> Kruschev they remain a st<strong>and</strong>ard today for<br />
men <strong>and</strong> women who need lightweight protection from the sun.<br />
The bodies for our Panama hats are h<strong>and</strong> woven in Ecuador from toquilla fiber, the finest<br />
of the straws used in hats. The bodies are tightly woven to ensure good protection from<br />
the sun. A substantial fiber is selected to produce a firm hat that holds its shape well. The<br />
pinch is reinforced to reduce breakage. These hats are great for hot sunny weather (but<br />
not suitable for use in the rain.)<br />
Panama Fedora This Fedora is an elegant Panama at an affordable price. The brim is<br />
21/2 inches. The crown is 4 inches in front, peaking to 41/2 inches <strong>and</strong> dropping to 33/4 inches<br />
in the back. The snap down brim has a thin hidden wire at the edge to retain your chosen<br />
brim shape. The black grosgrain hat b<strong>and</strong> is 11/2 inches wide, brightened with a removable<br />
hat feather. Cloth sweatb<strong>and</strong>. Toquilla fiber. Teflon coats the fibers for water <strong>and</strong> oil resistance,<br />
yet maintains its breathablility. Color is Natural. H<strong>and</strong>woven in Ecuador, finished<br />
