-adillat ash-Shar’iyya: the four sources of <strong>Islam</strong>: al-Qur’ân<br />

ahl: people; Ahl al-Bait, immediate relatives of the Prophet:<br />

(according to most ’ulamâ’) ’Alî (first cousin <strong>and</strong> son-in-law),<br />

Fâtima (daughter), Hasan <strong>and</strong> Husain (gr<strong>and</strong>sons); ahl albid’a,<br />
