Ensto IMWS
Insulated Messenger Wire
System for Low Voltage ABC
An insulated messenger wire cable
consists of one to five black, weather
resistant, high density or cross-linked,
polyethylene insulated conductors
twisted around an insulated aluminium
alloy messenger (typical tensile
strength 300 N/mm2 ). The messenger,
which is also the neutral conductor,
takes all the mechanical stress. The
cross section of the phase conductors
can vary from 16 to 185 mm2 to meet
the load current, maximum acceptable
voltage drop and short circuit current
of the network; the size of the
messenger varies from 25-95 mm2 ,
depending on mechanical and electrical
conditions

Tension and Suspension Clamps
INTRODUCTION
Ensto Tension and Suspension Clamps are suitable for the most severe climatic
conditions and fulfil requirements of various national and international standards.
Ensto Clamps are made of high quality, weather resistant materials. Special attention
has been given to the easy installation and wide application range.
Tension Clamp Series SO 250
SO 250-series consists of clamps for different messenger cross sections suitable for various climatic
conditions. The clamps are easy to install without tools and available for both bracket and hook installation
to wooden, concrete or steel poles. Clamps are supplied with or without the bracket.

Suspension Clamp SO 260
SO 260 is easy to install without tools: the messenger wire (25 to 95 mm 2 ) is installed into the groove and
the clamp is tightened with a finger nut. Phase conductor is fixed with a tie to the clamp. The clamp is suitable
for various climatic conditions. Bracket installation to wooden, concrete or steel poles.

Suspension Clamp SO 265
SO 265 is easy to install without tools: the messenger wire (16 to 95 mm 2 ) is installed into the groove and

Suspension Clamp SO 69.95
SO 69.95 Suspension Clamp is suitable for 25 to 95 mm 2 messenger wire in straight lines and angles up to
90°. It is a solid clamp for various climatic conditions. The installation is very easy without using any tools.

Connectors
INTRODUCTION
Ensto's connectors are suitable for the most common conductor types around the
world. The optimal construction enables easy installation and a long lifespan. The
water- and weatherproof connectors are corrosion resistant, safe and reliable and do
not cause any disturbance. Ensto connectors meet the requirements of various
international and national standards.
Tested Reliability
Our products are continuously tested in
various climatic conditions according to
international standards e.g. IEC and
Cenclec. In our laboratory we do the
following tests for our connectors:
Dielectric voltage test 4-6 kV/1 min
Insulation piercing test at -20° C.
UV radiation test 8 weeks according to
IEC 60068-2-5
Electrical heat cycle test 1000 cycles
Mechanical test. Tensile strength of the
conductor after mounting of the connector
min 90 % of the Rated Tension Strength of
the new conductor.

Easy to use also for live line installations. The shear head is insulated from the bolt and the connector body.
Equipped with shear head screw.

INTRODUCTION
Ensto´s range for Pole Hardware includes hooks, distance nails and clips and other
fixtures for wooden and concrete poles. The weather resistant materials enable the use
in various severe conditions all over the world.
