Chapter 5 INTRODUCES A LADY Jaikie was roused next morning in his little room in the Westwater Arms by Dougal sitting down heavily on his toes. Yet even to his confused perceptions' the state of the light seemed to mark an hour considerably later than that of seven a.m. which had been the appointed time.
