Examine items and any containers/boxes <strong>for</strong> leaking powder:<br />

Ensure that the containers are secure and there is no loss <strong>of</strong><br />

powder/composition<br />

Ignite item, using copy <strong>of</strong> test sheet on clip board and note listed areas <strong>of</strong><br />

compliance<br />

Test packaging to determine con<strong>for</strong>mance with the fire resistance integrity test<br />

prescribed in regulation 10(4) <strong>of</strong> the Hazardous Substances (Packaging)<br />

Regulations 2001.<br />

At conclusion <strong>of</strong> testing all field notes should be entered onto a computer data<br />

base and paperwork filed under client name.<br />

Copy <strong>of</strong> Test Certificate must be sent to ERMA NZ as soon as practical<br />

Tidy up the site:<br />

At conclusion <strong>of</strong> testing clear up all residue/rubbish and dispose <strong>of</strong> by<br />

incineration, do not leave site until any fires are extinguished and all test items<br />

have been accounted <strong>for</strong>.<br />

Any items that have failed should be photographed and physical examples kept<br />

where possible.<br />
