<strong>BPW</strong> <strong>Trailer</strong> <strong>Block</strong> <strong>AB</strong> <strong>20</strong>-1/G <strong>with</strong> <strong>EC</strong> <strong>Approval</strong><br />
The new offset <strong>BPW</strong> trailer block <strong>AB</strong> <strong>20</strong>-1/G <strong>with</strong> permitted drawbar loads of 1000 kg and <strong>20</strong>00 kg<br />
has completed the required 2 million duty cycles in the proving ground and therefore becomes<br />
the first offset trailer block to obtain <strong>EC</strong> approval (<strong>EC</strong> no. e4*94/<strong>20</strong>*1867*00).<br />
The offset <strong>BPW</strong> trailer block <strong>AB</strong> <strong>20</strong>-1/G is<br />
intended for external mounting on the tractive<br />
unit. The offset design shifts the coupling point<br />
closer to the rear axle of the tractive unit,<br />
therefore improving the driving characteristics<br />
of the tractor/trailer unit. As the same time, the<br />
distance between the tractive unit and the trailer<br />
is reduced because the hitch point is recessed<br />
so far back.<br />
The offset <strong>BPW</strong> trailer block <strong>AB</strong> <strong>20</strong>-1/G can<br />
be used up to a D-value of 190 kN in vehicle<br />
combinations <strong>with</strong> low-hitched turntable<br />
drawbar trailers . In conjunction <strong>with</strong> central<br />
axle drawbar trailer, a Dc-value of 110 kN is<br />
possible, as are V-values of<br />
- min. 60 kN <strong>with</strong> 1000 kg drawbar load and<br />
- min. 50.1 kN <strong>with</strong> <strong>20</strong>00 kg drawbar load<br />

The standard heights up to max. 350 mm can be combined <strong>with</strong> any opening width values<br />
(LW, see back page) from 740 to 905 mm.<br />
The modular system of the trailer block <strong>AB</strong> <strong>20</strong>-1/G makes<br />
it inexpensive to stock the components, permitting a rapid<br />
response when they are needed.<br />

The hole pattern for mounting the trailer hitch can be selected as 1<strong>20</strong> x 55 mm / 140 x 80 mm<br />
or 160 x 100 mm in accordance <strong>with</strong> DIN 74051/74052.<br />
Once you have decided which trailer hitch to use, you can refer to the following table to read<br />
off the maximum V-value for the trailer block <strong>AB</strong> <strong>20</strong>-1/G depending on the MK dimension of the<br />
trailer hitch.<br />

We can also supply you <strong>with</strong> the possible maximum permitted V-values for other trailer hitches<br />
on request.<br />
The trailer block <strong>AB</strong> <strong>20</strong>-1/G is directly bolted onto the vehicle frame. We can also assist you in<br />
configuring suitable screw connections.<br />
The technical characteristic values given in the table, for example the V-values for 1000 kg and<br />
<strong>20</strong>00 kg drawbar load, also now apply <strong>with</strong> immediate effect to the trailer block <strong>AB</strong><strong>20</strong>-1/L which<br />
has just been given <strong>EC</strong> approval!
