THE STAFFORDSHIRE BURIAL INDEX W K Plant The Bn-mlngham and Mldland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry have been busy over the last few years on a gIgantIc task lndexlng burials wlthln the county of StaffordshIre. The penod 1813-37 has been completed as the fnst editlon and, allowing for a number of pre 1813 references whxh have been Included xn the first edltlon, there are approximately 900 'Plant' records. It has been estimated that a further 800 Plant records wll be contained xn the pre 1813 list and publlshed as the second edltlon. On behalf of the Group I have purchased a copy of the list contaunng Plant references and in each Issue of the Journal I ~11 include a section III Christian name alphabetical order.
