ALUMNI was the overall top performance and ultrasound scanning bull from a very stout spring 2010 born calf 

crop at South Dakota State University, ranking #1 in his contemporary group for adjusted weaning and yearling 

weights and ranking #2 in his contemporary group for both %IMF and REA ultrasound scans. He handled heavy 

breeding duties as a yearling bull at Cow Camp Ranch last spring, froze a good bank of semen during the early 

fall and is currently breeding a large group of cows at Gibbs Farms. ALUMNI has been in his working clothes

Absolutely massive best describes FINALE. From the ground up, huge foot, enormous rib capacity, powerful muscle 

and all packed into a mid-5 frame size. It is very rare to find a bull with this kind of massive look combined with 

breed leading calving ease and low birth weight. His first calf crop of data came from the ASA Carcass Merit 

Program as well as several breeder herds, assuring integrity and confidence to the EPD predictions. He is sired 

by Final Answer, probably the elite bull in the Angus breed today, and out of one of the most productive cows in 

the Simmental breed. His dam produced Dual Focus, the #5 bull in ASA registrations last year, along with several

NEWS FLASH - Kevin Thompson of TNT Simmental had five FINALE bull calves born in his spring 2011 calf

Just to round out an awesome set of red bull options, there’s 642X. Jim Butcher decided to retain this bull in the 

spring of 2011 to push his red program to the next level. 642X has that potential. He is a homozygous polled 

outcross ¾ blood with incredible upside potential. His pedigree reads as follows, sired by GW Predestined 

701T (GAR Predestined x GW Lucky Strike) and out of a TOSU Orlando x GW high Density 22E x Lchmn Lucky 

Buck. That makes him an outcross to not only the population of red SimGenetics, but to most black SimGenetics as

Talk about a great progeny proof, just look at Lucky Boy’s new EPDs. We consider our high value group of ¾ 

Simmental bulls to be comparable to purebreds from a percentile rank standpoint, because they can be used 

on purebred cows to make purebred offspring, but whether you compare him to purebreds or hybrid averages, 

he ranks in the top 1% for the API and TI dollar profit indexes. Lucky Boy is a homozygous black, homozygous

820Y was renamed Substance for good reason, he is one rugged, stout structured, wide based bull with neatly ideal structure 

and as big a foot as you will find. His performance, muscling and outcross pedigree led to several requests for Jim to add him 

to his spring 2012 sale out of the keeper pen, and then propelled him to the top of the sale at $28,000. His sire, GW Premium 

Beef 021TS is fast becoming the go to bull for calving ease, carcass and high value phenotype and his GW Mr Maternal x Red 

Light x GW Broderick dam goes right back to some of the original foundation of the Gateway program. Use him on purebred 

cows to generate great, new purebreds offering breed leading growth along with the calving ease and carcass value you expect 

from this program. Substance ratioed 114 at weaning and 116 at yearling out of 120 bull calves in his contemporary group. He

Onyx is a stud. Not many better ways to describe his physical appearance than that. He has dimension in every
