FREELAND ORCHESTRA & WOW CONCERT - Friday 6th July All villagers are invited to our Summer concert. Freeland Orchestra will be playing a variety of mostly well-known pieces by Schubert, Bizet, Holst, Tchaikovsky and others. West Oxfordshire Winds will round off the concert with music from the Wizard of Oz and some summer-themed favourites. The concert will be at Eynsham Village Hall, Back Lane at 7.30pm on 6th July and admission is FREE! During July we continue with the theme ‘Splish Splash’. The children will be exploring lots of water related activities. We will be discussing holidays and the sea side and combining this with some music and singing. In addition to this we will be enjoying some ever popular cooking activities. To celebrate the Olympics the pre-school and F1 class will be organising some joint activities in the garden. This is the last term at Pre-school for some of the children as they will be moving on into F1 in September. To celebrate their time with us at pre-school we will be holding a leaver’s party and graduation ceremony at the end of term. Forest School continues on a Friday and the children will be continuing the theme of water in the woods in addition to, climbing, den building and bug hunting. We no longer have any vacancies for this academic year. However, if you would like your child to attend in September 2012, or beyond, please ring us (between 8.45am and 3.15pm) on 882945, oremailfreelandpg@hotmail.co.uk to give us your details and help us to plan ahead. The Jubilee Fun Day was a great success and has so far raised over £2,000 for the CRF. Many thanks to everyone involved. See also a link to photographs on the Freeland Village website www.freelandoxon.com West Oxfordshire District Council have awarded a £50,000 grant towards the cost of the CRF. Over the school summer holidays the Hall is vacant on weekday evenings, Monday to Thursday. Please contact the Booking Secretaries to take advantage of extra availability. The new contact number is 07501 270526. In order to focus on his new role as Chairman of the Parish Council, Peter Newell has stepped down as Trustee and Chairman of the Hall Committee.
