RAIL - StarTrack ® - Rail Track Support Systems
The StarTrack II modular precast-concrete platform grade-crossing system uses no ties and is set on a
prepared sub-grade to form a self-supporting slab system free of vertical or lateral movement. Rail is
seated on UHMW polyethylene strips, which cushion impact loadings and protect the underlying
concrete surface from abrasion. Oldcastle

StarTrack II HD is our answer to very heavy loading applications and high impact areas.
The standard HD model is 11’-0” wide, 5’-0” TF in length and 1’-4” thick. The StarTrack II HD
provides the solution to ultra high wheel loads and provides solid support for the dynamic
movement from rail and rubber tire loading.
RAIL - Railway Platforms
Full-length high-level accessible precast rail platforms
for extensions to existing platforms and new platform
builds. The platforms are composed of steel reinforced
precast concrete structural components. The fully flexible
design can be modified to cater to a wide range of
platform sizes, curves or foundation heights.
RAIL - Plastibeton
The Plastibeton Channel System is a trench system used to contain, protect and allow easy access to
power, control, signal, communication, and fiber optic cables utilized by the railroad transit companies.
Made of a unique, patented High Density Polymer Concrete, the trench system is designed and tested
to support 40,000 lbs over a 10” x 10” square area and offers flexibility and strength, as well as
exceptional resistance to freeze/thaw conditions. Railduct’s light weight, convenient length and ease of
handling simplify installation.

Precast concrete wall systems provide the highest
noise transmission-loss value compared with other
common sound wall materials (concrete’s greater mass
reduces sound penetrating through a wall by more than
80% compared with wood or steel frame construction
(from NPCA). Transportation noise is one of the primary
situations that Oldcastle Precast specializes in. We are
up-to-date with the latest Federal Highway
Administration standards and standards for all states.
We are able to provide barriers that have a sound
transmission characteristic of STC-42---STC-50 from 8’ high, all the way up through 22' tall. If
necessary, we can also provide a barrier that has a noise reduction co-efficient of NRC-0.80.
