Welcome to <strong>the</strong> greatest event in your student life!<br />

You have already entered one of <strong>the</strong> greatest and toughest competitions for law students out <strong>the</strong>re. However, do not underestimate <strong>the</strong> second<br />

great chance <strong>the</strong> <strong>Moot</strong> gives you: meet hundreds of people, make dozens of friends and a few that might last a lifetime. We are here to make this<br />

What is new compared to last year?<br />

(1) Note that some of <strong>the</strong> venues have changed: <strong>the</strong> nightly Bar will be at Muse, <strong>the</strong> Welcome Party (Sunday) will be at Azure. The Farewell<br />

Party will take place at Armani Privé.<br />

(2) We have shortened <strong>the</strong> program leading up to <strong>the</strong> Announcement of <strong>the</strong> Finalists. Please make sure that you arrive at <strong>the</strong> time indicated<br />

Some of our events require prior registration through our website www.maa.net.<br />

These are: (1) Our Generations in Arbitration Conference (“GIA VII”) on Sunday, (2) <strong>the</strong> MAA Antique Tram Tour on Wednesday and (3) <strong>the</strong><br />

MAA Farewell Party on Saturday.<br />

What? One of <strong>the</strong> most <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong> ways to get around is <strong>the</strong> HK Tramways. Come<br />

aboard one of our two exclusively booked historic double-decker open-top<br />

party trams, and enjoy <strong>the</strong> ride through <strong>the</strong> buzzing night time streets of <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong>. Bring your own drinks.<br />

Where? Whitty Street Tram Depot – Hill Road Entrance/ Connaught Road West (<strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong> Island)<br />

MAA Visit to Happy Valley Horseracing<br />

What? One of <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong>’s finest attractions and a must-see for<br />

every visitor are <strong>the</strong> night time races at Happy Valley. It’s a<br />

fun time even for those who are no horse and gambling<br />

enthusiasts. The atmosphere is casual, you can have a<br />

drink, some Cantonese barbecue (or McDonalds), and bet<br />

your pocket money starting at a mere HK$ 10 (~US$ 1.29).<br />

Very friendly guides will even explain <strong>the</strong> betting cards to<br />

you.<br />

Where? Happy Valley Racecourse<br />

Exit A, and follow <strong>the</strong> signs to <strong>the</strong> racecourse. If you are on <strong>the</strong> MAA Antique Open-Deck Party Tram, you<br />

can just follow one of us.<br />

When? The first race starts between 7 and 7.30 pm. Last race<br />

starts at around 10 pm.<br />

Seafood Dinner on Lamma Island.<br />
