CAMERON'S PEACH STRAIN
1 Cameron's Peach - Apricot Joy® either ovary or pollen parent in most instances
(NB Max 10 seeds per order)
PRICE PER
SEED - US$
WITTIG'S PINK STRAIN AND CROSSES
2 F2/F3 Wittig's Pink strain X Cameron's Peach 50 $4.00
Experimental - E-group postings indicate that these strains are compatible and the cross
should produce some interesting European type peaches.
SOUTH AFRICAN PEACH STRAINS AND CROSSES
CHUBB'S PEACH STRAIN (Compatible with Group 1 yellow)
All parent plants are F1 to F3 Chubb's Peach strain. Expect 100% unpigmented
seedlings, some split for yellow (Heterozygous), some with green throats. A small
percentage will flower yellow.
3 Various Chubb's Peach Strain (will produce some with green throats) 50 $3.00
4 Dower Peach - sibling cross 25 $4.00
breeding by the late Mick Dower: Nakamura Peach (Chubb Peach X Chiba Sakura cobalt
90 radiated pink) pigmented stem X Chubb Peach strain
POOR MAN'S PEACH
An interesting strain started by the late Nick Primch, the original promoter of the Clivia
Society. It seems to breed true and to my mind is more impressive than Chubb's Peach.
(See Clivia News Vol.19 No.2 pages 31-33)
5 F2 Poor Man's Peach sibling cross 30 $3.00
6 Outstanding pink Poor Man's Peach cross X pink Poor Man's Peach 25 $4.00
a cross of two outstanding pinks which will hopefully breed true.
GAIL'S PEACH
7 F2 Gail's Peach - sibling cross 30 $3.00
another South Afrcan peach strain
GAMMA PEACH
8 F1 Gamma Peach cross (orange) X F2 Gamma Peach (peach) 40 $3.00
Experimental - We hope the cross of the Gamma Pecah recovery back onto the orange F1
will see a high percentage of the original habitat plant colouring.
PASTEL = Soft, delicate, subdued shades
Lovely subdued orange and pink tones produced by the progessive dilution of red
anthocyanin pigments by repeated crossing with yellow. Many pastels are therefore
split (heterozygous) for yellow and will produce a percentage of yellow offspring.
9 Dower Pastel (Floradale Apricot/Oribi Gorge Yellow) sibling cross 30 $3.00
a cross which the late Mick Dower used to produce pink pastels
10 Mixed Japanese pastels (please order in multiples of 5) 50 $2.00
Mix of some lovely pastels from Toshi in Japan, including Yamauchi Pink/Venus; Big Pink
Venus; & Kague Peach/Vico. Cross-pollinated randomly with each other
