When I Needed To
Increase Sales And Profits,
I Asked CASE To Check
Out My Business.
Knowing what my problems were
didn't solve them and I knew
enough to realize that I needed
some sound advice from someone
who understood the grocery business
and the problems I faced—
lower sales, lower profits.
CASE sent a counsellor experienced
in my business. He checked out
everything from store layout, pricing,
inventory control and product
display right through to my bookkeeping
system.
Best of all, my CASE counsellor came
up with some great, practical ideas
to make my business work harder
for me. Sales and profits went right
up as a result.
The cost of my CASE counselling
was approximately $200 and the
benefits I received far exceeded my
expectations.
moose can be a danger
to people.
Ministry officials remind
people moose are
wild animals and
capable of inflicting
serious injury.
Moose, which can
weigh up to 1,000
pounds, regularly fend
off wolves and other
predators in the wild. If
approached too closely,
a moose may flee or attack,
inflicting damage
with it hooves.
In addition, a moose
which is being chased
may run down a person
in its path.
While there have not
been any such injuries
so far this year,
ministry officials are
asking residents who
see moose not to approach
them.
If a moose threatens
to become a problem in^
a certain area and
refuses to move out of
that area, it may have
to be destroyed. Officials
arc asking
motorists to be particularly
careful in
areas where moose are
seen and are urging
people not to approach
moose under any circumstances.
Dogs must
be kept under control.
Moose, if left alone,
will generally wander
back into the safety of
the woods.
The Conservation
Officer Service of the
Ministry of Environment
is also warning
the owners of dogs to
be sure their animals
are not running or harrassing
big game.
A spokesman for the
ministry said Section 18
of the Wildlife Act
maple park
alliance cfturcf)
gives a conservation officer
or duly authorized
constable the power to
destroy any dog found
running at large and
harrassing big game.
According to one
conservation officer,
dogs are more of a problem
in areas where
deer are plentiful.
However, complaints
arc received . from all
over the region which
stretches from south of
from Endako to the
future, perhaps after
break-up, we'll have
more news about future
service.
NEIGHBORS
Jackie Murray has
been in Alberta visiting
a sick sister.
We're happy to report
that Les Peterson
is home from the
hospital and feeling
much better. Good
News!
COTTONWOOD
RIVER
We had to fill our
cistern the other day.
We thought it would
be a big project but
after we removed the
snow from the ice we
found that the ice is less
than two feet thick and
soft and porous.
This could mean that
the ice might not be too
much of a problem
come break-up.
We'are a little worried
about high water
as the park lies in the there could be damage
flood plain area and to the campsites.
