Material Quality Standard: ASTM B209 (ASTM B209M).
Description: Alloy, temper, and thickness recommended by manufacturer for type of
use and finish indicated, but not less than 0.020 in (0.5 mm), and with strength and
durability properties required to fulfill performance requirements.
2. Core: Extruded polyethylene or other thermoplastic material.
a. Core composed of foamed insulation is not acceptable.
b. Use of glue or adhesive to laminate face sheets to core is not acceptable.
B. Thickness: 0.157 in.
C. Surface Texture: Smooth.
D. Protective Covering: Cover panels with strippable plastic film.
2.3 FASTENERS AND ANCHORS
A. General: Type and size required by delegated engineering and sufficient to properly fasten or anchor
specified item to substrate indicated.

2.4 ACCESSORIES
Use concealed fasteners. If concealed fasteners cannot be avoided, use countersunk Phillips
head fasteners with finish matching adjacent surfaces making fastener as inconspicuous as
possible.
Use nuts with positive means of preventing disengagement at expansion or moving
connections. Stalking of bolts, use of lock washers, or deforming threads are not allowed.
Use matched bolts, washers, and nuts at friction connections.
A. General: Components required for a complete assembly including gaskets, fillers, closure strips, and
similar items.
B. Flashing and Trim: Profiles required to seal against weather and to provide finished appearance.
1. Material: Formed from 0.018 in minimum thickness, zinc-coated (galvanized) steel sheet or
aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel sheet prepainted with coil coating.
2. Locations: Include, but not limited to, bases, drips, sills, jambs, corners, endwalls, framed
openings, rakes, fascia, parapet caps, soffits, reveals, and fillers.
3. Finish: Same as adjacent panels.
C. Concealed Joinery Sealant:
1. Product Quality Standard: ASTM C920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 150/50.
2. Description: Single component, non-sag, neutral cure, non-staining as determined by preconstruction
stain testing, and non-bleeding, silicone sealant.
3. Joint Movement Capability: Plus 150 percent, minus 50 percent.
4. Primers: Product provided by sealant manufacturer if required by conditions.
