EDITORIAL
Human beings need to
add aesthetic value to life’s
circumstances in order to arrive
at a better understanding of
themselves, from ancient cave
paintings to the grand designs
of modern cinema.
Everything we learn through
experience can be seen
represented and sublimated
through innumerable artistic
expressions.
But the artistic faculty of
humankind must be free.
Art demands freedom from
censorship, so that our creative
powers can develop unchecked.
In this way, we will ensure that
all human beings continue to
admire art and to learn from
the meanings that artists give
to the experiences of life.
At the deepest level, being
human means learning new
things, developing skills and
perfecting them from day to
day, perceiving and connecting
with one’s inner self. For a
human being, this realization
implies enjoyment of life and a
sense of fulfillment. That is why
art makes us more human, and
why being human is an art.
