Getting Started<br />

Getting Started: Before you can<br />

start using your new <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong> service,<br />

perform the steps below to set<br />

up your mailbox. Once these steps<br />

are complete, you can begin using<br />

your <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong>.<br />

1 Access Your <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong><br />

Step 1 - Dial *48 from your home<br />

phone.<br />

Step 2 - Enter your mailbox number<br />

(which is your 10-digit phone number).<br />

Step 3 - Enter your password (initial<br />

password 9999) and press #. (You will<br />

be prompted to change your password.)<br />

2 Record & Save Your Personal<br />

Greeting<br />

Step 1 - Press 9 for the <strong>Mail</strong>box Setup<br />

Menu.<br />

Step 2 - Press 1 for Greeting Options.<br />

Step 3 - Press 4 to Record Your Greeting.<br />

When you’ve fi nished recording your<br />

greeting, press #.<br />

Step 4 - Press 2 to Save your Greeting.<br />

Step 1 - Press 9 for the <strong>Mail</strong>box Setup Menu.<br />

Step 2 - Press 2 to change your password.<br />

Step 3 - Enter your new password and press #.<br />

Step 4 - When prompted to verify the password, enter it again and press #.<br />

Activate (or Disable) Auto Login<br />

When Auto Login is activated, you can access your <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong> from home without<br />

entering your mailbox and password every time.<br />

Step 1 - Access your voice mailbox by following the directions above.<br />

Step 2 - Press 9 for the <strong>Mail</strong>box Setup Menu.<br />

Step 3 - Press 4 for Auto Login.<br />

Step 4 - Press 1 to turn Auto Login on or off.<br />

E-mail Notification<br />

E-mail Notifi cation Once a voice mail message is left at your number, the voice<br />

message is automatically converted into an electronic fi le and immediately delivered<br />

to your E-mail account. <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong> messages are attached to your E-mail, or multiple<br />

E-mails, as digital audio fi les in .wav format, so you can listen to, delete, save or<br />

forward the messages right from your computer.<br />

Listening to <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong> via E-mail Notifi cation<br />

Step 1 - Check your E-mail as you normally would.<br />

Step 2 - When you get a <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong> message, you will receive an E-mail from<br />

<strong>West</strong> <strong>Wisconsin</strong> <strong>Telcom</strong> / 24-7 <strong>Telcom</strong> delivered right to your Inbox. The message<br />

will have an attachment.<br />

Step 3 - Open the attachment and your media player will play the message.<br />

Step 4 - If desired, you can save the attachment on your computer or you can<br />

forward the E-mail to another recipient.<br />

Step 5 - Follow the link in the E-mail message to save or delete the message<br />

from the <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong> system.<br />

ManageMyPhone.com Options<br />

You can access your <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong> from anywhere Internet access is available. Visit<br />

www.ManageMyPhone.com and simply enter your User ID (which is your 10-digit<br />

home phone number). Next, enter your Password (initial password 9999). (It’s<br />

recommended to change your password after your fi rst login.)<br />

Once you are logged on, the Manage My Phone website allows you to listen,<br />

delete and save <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong> messages. Change, add or delete the E-mail address<br />

where you’re receiving notifi cations and/or turn the E-mail notifi cation on or off.<br />

Accessing <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong><br />

From Home (Using Auto Login, see above.):<br />

Step 1 - Dial *48.<br />

From a Different Location:<br />

Step 1 - Dial 715-XXX-8100. (Your exchange, i.e. 715-664-8100) OR dial your<br />

home phone number and press # when <strong>Voice</strong> <strong>Mail</strong> picks up.<br />

Step 2 - Enter your 10-digit home phone number.<br />

Step 3 - Enter your password & press #.<br />

Retrieving Messages<br />

Step 1 - Access your voice mailbox.<br />

Step 2 - Press 1 to listen to your messages. You will hear the announcement<br />

“You have X new messages and X saved massages.”<br />

Step 3 - Press 1 to listen to new messages.<br />

Step 4 - Press 2 to listen to saved messages.


Additional Retrieving Options:<br />

Press 1 - Play or replay message<br />

Press 2 - Save message & play the next<br />

Press 3 - Delete message & play the next<br />

Press 4 - Save message as new<br />

Press 6 - Forward message¹<br />

Press 7 - Skip back 3 seconds on current<br />

Press 9 - Skip forward 3 seconds on<br />

roommates, family members and people who<br />

work out of their home.<br />

Message Waiting Indication Feature<br />

activates the stutter dial tone or the message<br />

light on the phone when there are new messages<br />

in the mailbox.<br />

Pager or Phone Notifi cation Great for people<br />

on the go. A reminder page or telephone<br />

call alerts you when you have a new message<br />

left in your mailbox.<br />

Multiple Greetings This feature allows the<br />

customers to record multiple greetings in advance<br />

so all they have to do is choose which<br />

greeting is active to fi t the particular scenario.<br />

Announce Only - $4.00/mo. An ideal service<br />

for providing information to callers without<br />

allowing them to leave a message or tying up<br />

a separate line. Announce Only messaging<br />

allows you to record a greeting up to 5 minutes<br />

in length and can be easily updated as your<br />

needs change. Useful for school closing announcements<br />

or posting business hours.<br />

Auto Attendant for Businesses - $10.00/mo.<br />

This feature greets callers with appropriate<br />

salutation messages and offers a list of options<br />

such as dial-by-name, dial-by-extension and<br />

many more. Based on the choice made by the<br />

caller, the calls are routed to the right department<br />

or employee. Auto Attendant is able to<br />

manage multiple calls at the same time without<br />

sending busy signals to the callers.<br />

Express Routing - $4.00/mo. A main greeting<br />

can route callers to other mailboxes on the<br />

system.<br />
