The reasons <strong>of</strong> this change are given below under p. 54<br />
p. 50 (1) Antliarhininae. The systematic position <strong>of</strong> this taxon has been debatable.<br />
Recent studies by Oberprieler (2000) <strong>and</strong> Wanat (2001) indicate that the Antliarhininae<br />
belong <strong>to</strong> Apionidae (in the system used in the <strong>Catalogue</strong>) rather than Brentinae.<br />
This was also concluded earlier by Kasap & Crowson (1977), Sanborne (1981) <strong>and</strong><br />
Calder (1989, 1990). Whilst no change is made at this point, pending a rearrangement<br />
necessitated by other studies in progress or completed since the publication <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Catalogue</strong>,<br />
it is appropriate <strong>to</strong> note this alternative placement.<br />
p. 50 (2) Antliarhininae. The third line <strong>of</strong> the left column “= Antliarhini; Hustache,<br />
1924d-8,k” should be deleted.<br />
p. 50 (3) Antliarhis Billberg. Additional misspellings are:<br />
