Morrone, 1998-131 treated Eccoptothoracini Arnoldi, 1977 as a separate tribe in Nemonychidae: Eobelinae, apparently unaware of the synonymy of Procurculionini and Eccoptothoracini by Gratshev & Zherikhin, 1995. This synonymy is maintained here, as is the placement in Eobelidae. p. 39 (2) Brenthorrhinini Arnoldi, 1977. The following should be added to the synonymy: = Brentorrhinidini; Morrone, 1998-131 [lapsus] = Brenthorrhinini; Alonso-Zarazaga & Lyal, h.o. [i.e., 1999-39] Morrone (1998-131) placed this tribe in the Eobelinae, which he treated as a subfamily of Nemonychidae. p. 39 (3) Nanophydinae Arnoldi, 1977. Aphlorhynchites Sawada, 1993 should be moved from synonymy under Teretriorhynchites to be a synonym of Haplorhynchites sensu stricto (syn. nov.). We overlooked the placement of type species in Sawada (1993). p. 42 Teretriorhynchites and its synonym Aphlorhynchites should be transferred to Haplorhynchites (p. 41) as discussed above. p. 43 (1) (Deporaus).
