COLUMBUS TREPPEN and the German Reichstag<br />
After German reunification the parliament for the whole<br />
of Germany met for the first time on 4 October 1990 in<br />
the Reichstag in Berlin. Then in 1992, Sir Norman Foster<br />
was awarded the commission for its reconstruction after<br />
winning a competition. Since its opening on 23 May<br />
1999, people wishing to reach the top of the building via<br />
the side staircase will have to negotiate tried-and-tested<br />
COLUMBUS folding stairs. Only the best for our<br />
Reichstag, after all.<br />
