All ceiling products and systems must be installed and maintained in accordance with current CGC written instructions and best industry practice, including the following:ASTM C 636 “Standard Practice for Installation of Metal Ceiling Suspension Systems for Acoustical Tile and Lay-In Panels.” SHEETROCK Brand Gypsum Panels used with the USG Drywall Suspension System are not covered. Also, you must observe the following: • Care must be taken that the products are not damaged during delivery and while they are stored at the job site. • The products must always be protected from direct contact with water, including condensation and corrosive substances or vapors, both before and after installation. • These products cannot be used in exterior applications Except for ASTRO CLIMAPLUS Ceiling Panels with USG’s patented anti microbial treatment, the growth of mould is not covered by this warranty nor is it the responsibility of CGC. Damage that may occur from vibrations is not covered by this warranty. If subject to abnormal conditions, the products should be removed immediately and replaced once conditions are normal. CGC Inc. is the only authorized importer and distributor of USG products in Canada.Any other importation and distribution of such products in Canada is unauthorized. Only USG ceiling products imported and distributed by or through CGC Inc. are warranted by CGC Inc.Warranty claims regarding all other USG ceiling products will not be honoured by CGC Inc.Any warranty claims or complaints regarding unauthorized USG ceiling products should be referred directly to the responsible importer or distributor.To ensure you receive the benefit of the CGC Inc. warranty on USG ceiling products purchased in Canada, when specifying such products specify that they must be obtained from CGC Inc. (or a CGC Inc. authorized dealer or distributor). Relative humidity shall not exceed 70%. ASTRO CLIMAPLUS and ECLIPSE CLIMAPLUS The ceiling should be maintained to avoid excessive dirt or dust buildup that would provide a media for microbial growth on ceiling panels protected with the USG’s patented anti-microbial treatment. Microbial protection does not extend beyond the treated surface as received from the factory, and does not protect other materials that contact the treated surface such as supported insulation materials. Suspension Systems Prior to, during, and after installation the suspension systems (excluding,AX, ZXLA and the CGC Drywall Suspension System) shall be maintained in a temperature range of 60-104 °F (16-40 °C) and relative humidity shall not exceed 90%.AX, ZXLA and the CGC Drywall Suspension System shall be maintained in a temperature range from 60-104 °F (16-40 °C) and relative humidity can be up to 100%. The warranty does not cover rusting that occurs from building leaks or condensation. Notes 1. Mineral fiber ceiling panels and tiles with CLIMAPLUS performance contain coatings and/or a formulation to inhibit or retard the growth of mould and mildew. 2.
