Irma D. Logan, machining, lives in<br />
Williamsport. She worked as a machinist at<br />
Lycoming Motors, now Lycoming, a Textron<br />
company, through World War II, raised two<br />
sons (Gary, a 1977 alumnus, and Dennis, who<br />
is a part-time instructor at Penn <strong>College</strong>), then<br />
returned to Lycoming and worked as a<br />
machinist for another 13 years before retiring.<br />

Donald A. Artman, automotive service technology,<br />
lives in Lewistown with his wife, Jean.<br />
Edward R. Rossman, drafting, is retired from<br />
AMP Inc. He lives in York with his wife, Lucille.<br />
’55<br />
Joseph Bickel, diesel welding, worked as a shop<br />
foreman for a trucking company and retired<br />
after 36½ years <strong>of</strong> employment. He lives in<br />
Lock Haven.<br />
Delmar E. “Del” McCormick, construction<br />
equipment operator and serviceman, is retired and<br />
lives in Montgomery with his wife, Marion.<br />
Cleon E. Snyder, radio and television repair,<br />
worked in that field until retirement. He<br />
resides in Millersburg.<br />

Paul Q. Burgess, radio and television repair,<br />
retired after a long career with IBM. He says<br />
he remembers Ramon (Ray) Palmer as an<br />
instructor who had a great influence on his<br />
education. Burgess and his wife, Mary Ellen,<br />
live in Friendsville.<br />
Clair E. Stahl, mechanical drafting, retired from<br />
Sprout Waldron Inc., Muncy. He and his wife,<br />
Finley, live near Clarkstown.<br />

George W. Gemberling, aviation mechanics,<br />
worked for Capital Airlines in Washington,<br />
D.C., and took a job with United Airlines in<br />
San Francisco when the two airlines merged.<br />
He lives in Copperopolis, Calif., with his wife,<br />
Gloria.<br />
Donald H. Keener, aviation mechanics, worked<br />
for Capital Airlines in Washington, D.C., and<br />
United Airlines in San Francisco. He lives in<br />
Watsontown with his wife, Shirley.<br />
Charles M. Starr, aviation mechanics, worked<br />
for Capital Airlines in Washington, D.C., and<br />
United Airlines in San Francisco. He lives in<br />
Montoursville with his wife, Darla.<br />

Robert C. Geiser, graphic arts, was hired in<br />
1963 as assistant foreman for the Veterans<br />
Administration’s print shop in Washington,<br />
D.C., and retired as foreman <strong>of</strong> that facility. He<br />
resides in Philipsburg.<br />
Jack E. Speedy, electrical construction technology,<br />
lives in Carrollton, Ohio, with his wife, Karen.<br />
They operate a water-well drilling business.<br />

Charles A. Gemberling, tool design technology,<br />
recently retired as a consultant for the<br />
<strong>Pennsylvania</strong> Credit Union League. He was<br />
recruited by the league after working for many<br />
years as a tool engineer for Ingersoll-Rand. He<br />
lives in Shavertown with his wife, Rose.<br />
’61<br />
Larry M. “Pete” High, tool design technology,<br />
lives with his wife, Phyllis, in Boalsburg. High<br />
is retired after a long career in tool design and<br />
engineering.<br />
William H. Larson, diesel technology, retired<br />
from Quaker State Oil, where he worked in a<br />
variety <strong>of</strong> positions over his career, including<br />
pipeline installer, foreman and supervisor. He<br />
and his wife, Kay, live in Duke Center.<br />
David E. McClelland, heavy construction<br />
equipment operator/serviceman, retired in<br />
May after a long career as an operator. He<br />
worked on a long list <strong>of</strong> projects, including<br />
construction <strong>of</strong> Dulles Airport in Washington,<br />
D.C. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Clarion.<br />
Richard E. Miller, technical illustration, is retired<br />
and lives in Boalsburg with his wife, Polly.<br />

Girvin R. Herr Jr., electrical instrumentation<br />
technology, retired as a s<strong>of</strong>tware-design engineer<br />
from Lockheed Martin. He and his wife, Betty,<br />
live in Dayton, Nev.<br />
’64<br />
Ronald D. Allison, technical illustration, retired<br />
as a senior technical artist for AMP Inc. He<br />
participated in a California-to-Georgia bicycle<br />
ride (“Wandering Wheels”) in March and April<br />
2004 to raise funds for a church construction<br />
project. He and his wife, Shirley, live in<br />
Hummelstown.<br />
’67<br />
Barry F. Crawford, practical nursing, continued<br />
his education at Harrisburg Area Community<br />
<strong>College</strong> and graduated in 1969 with a degree<br />
in police science and administration. He has<br />
served as a police <strong>of</strong>ficer in Harrisburg, Milton<br />
and Lewisburg. Crawford, who resides in<br />
Lewisburg, retired from the Lewisburg Police<br />
Department due to injuries sustained on duty.<br />
He also served as special deputy U.S. Marshal<br />
for the Middle District <strong>of</strong> <strong>Pennsylvania</strong>, special<br />
deputy Union County sheriff, private detective<br />
and owner <strong>of</strong> Union Security and Detective<br />
Agency, deputy Union County coroner, and<br />
security consultant. He and his wife, Marilyn,<br />
live in Lewisburg.<br />
’68<br />
Ronald L. Kuzmovich, graphic arts, spent 30<br />
years in the printing business and enjoyed<br />
every minute. He resides in Clarion and is now<br />
on his second career as director <strong>of</strong> elections<br />
for Clarion County.<br />
George H. Shaffer Jr., construction carpentry,<br />
worked for several construction contractors<br />
before starting Shaffer’s Masonry in Sunbury<br />
in 2004. Shaffer, who lives in Sunbury, has<br />
worked on several masonry projects at the<br />
college since he graduated.<br />
’70<br />
William R. Chaney, welding, is a tree-clearance<br />
trimmer for Vegetation Managers Inc. and<br />
resides in Allport.<br />
’71<br />
Patrick L. D’Auria, printing (graphic art), is a<br />
pressman for Uniontown Newspapers Inc. and<br />
resides in Mount Braddock.<br />
Kenneth L. Ritter, graphic arts, is an image<br />
technician at DayTimers Inc. Ritter, who lives<br />
in Kutztown, is actively involved with Little<br />
People <strong>of</strong> America. He helped organize (and<br />
won) a charity golf tournament to raise funds<br />
for families and individuals with dwarfism.<br />
The 2005 tournament will be the group’s 11th<br />
annual event, which usually raises more than<br />
$50,000 for the cause.<br />
’72<br />
Lester D. Bashore Sr., carpentry, lives in<br />
Bethel and is a forest patrolman for the state<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> Conservation and Natural<br />
Resources.<br />
Daniel Phillip Wood III, business management, is<br />
a retired service technician from Verizon. He<br />
resides in Bloomsburg and is active in the local<br />
Zafar Grotto.<br />
’73<br />
Philip A. Thomas, civil engineering, resides in<br />
Clarksburg, W.Va., and is chief surveyor for<br />
Greenhorne & O’Mara Inc.<br />
’76<br />
Donald Niles, floriculture, continued<br />
his education and received a degree in<br />
horticulture from West Virginia University and<br />
a bachelor-<strong>of</strong>-arts degree in creative writing<br />
from Penn State. He is a certified quality<br />
(lead) management systems auditor for Plastek<br />
Industries and resides in Erie.<br />
