And because most can be used in any Thermo Scientific Sorvall superspeed centrifuge, you have maximum flexibility and long-term value in your rotor investment. 6 High-performance carbon fiber rotors Maximize the performance of your centrifuge with robust, corrosionfree Thermo Scientific Fiberlite rotors. An easy to handle, safer alternative to conventional metallic rotors, our carbon fiber rotors offer superior durability, making them a truly cost-effective investment for your lab. Several carbon fiber rotors are available for the Evolution RC, including a 6 liter rotor made specifically for the Evolution RC. The Fiberlite F8S 6 x 1000y carbon fiber rotor offers unsurpassed sample capacity for processing up to 6 liters in a single run at speeds up to 8,500 rpm and 15,810 x g. Swinging bucket rotors The Sorvall Evolution RC accommodates 4 swinging bucket rotors ranging in capacity from 80 ml to 3 liters. These rotors provide the highest g-force on the market – saving you run time. Special-purpose rotors To complement our wide selection of traditional fixed angle and swinging bucket rotors, we offer unique rotors designed for specialized applications. Conical Tube Rotors The F13S-14x50cy can spin up to 14 x 50 mL conical tubes at the maximum speed for the rotor (28,000 x g) -- greatly reducing processing time. Adapters are also available for 15 mL conical high speed tubes. • Continuous-flow systems The TZ-28/GK and SS-34/KSB-R efficiently process large-volume cultures. • Zonal rotor The TZ-28 zonal rotor is also designed for large-volume, reorienting gradient separation and sealed batch runs. • Vertical rotors Short pathlengths in the SV-288 and SV-80 vertical rotors translate into fast gradient separations. • Biological Containment Most of the rotors used in the Evolution RC have been independently tested for micobiological containment. These rotors with Bioseal technology are recommended when an extra level of biological safety is desired.
