rolling IPL (or POR) without service impact
� Expl: services 100% available with 4 LPAR after a crash of 8 images
(November) and the restart of all 8 affected DB instances on another
LPAR (service impact 27 minutes)
- � Total 8 unplanned sysplex-wide shutdown to solve a incident
� 3 month (Mai, August, November) with more then 15% unplanned
IPL
� Total 209 unplanned IPL's in 3 quarters (April – December) in 2005
� DB2 instances needs to be restartet due to a known DBM1 storage
problem
