Gilles Ferran is an outstanding producer in Cairanne and Rasteau. He picks late and<br />
very ripe and makes thick, creamy wines with soft tannins. 80% old-vine grenache and<br />

Janasse wines are in a league of their own. <strong>The</strong> wines are all deeply coloured and<br />
immensely full bodied. This Côtes-du-Rhône Villages is Châteauneuf-like with an<br />
abundance of rich, mouth-filling fruit. Now to 2016. 14.5%<br />

Impressive, grenache-dominated southern Rhône on a large scale. Les Pallières is<br />
the best-known estate in Gigondas and has vines in the best areas, mostly high up<br />
