oards ARCHIVAL FLUTED BOARD Premier Archival Fluted Boxboard is a corrugated board made from the same Acid and Lignin free long fibred conservation quality bleached Kraft paper we use in our Premier Archival Folding Boxboard. Because of its fluted structure, corrugated board has the advantage of being lightweight yet rigid. It is available in a variety of thicknesses, flutes and sheet sizes. It has many useful applications and is particularly useful for oversize boxes. It uses less paper and is therefore cheaper to produce than solid board and its lightweight, low-density construction means that it can be used on high-speed box making machines, which result in lower cost boxes. We use our Heritage Archival PhotoKraft papers to make the board.They meet European and American standards for Archival Long Life Papers and Boards. They are suitable for the long term storage and conservation of documents and photographs. These papers pass the P.A.T. Test and have excellent water resistance having been sized internally with AKD and externally with Starch. The high percentage of long Kraft fibres gives enhanced fold and tear strength to the board. See below for specifications. Water resistance and fibre strength is an important factor in an archival corrugated board. Our Premier Board comprises of 2 or more outer liners which enclose one or more fluted centres. Premier Archival Fluted Boxboard is a duplex Grey/White which means that one liner is a Grey colour and the other is White. The fluted core is White. The Grey colour is bleed proof and fade resistant.
