All businesses must obtain a privilege license for
the purpose of conducting business in Mecklenburg
County.
Office Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Zoning Department is available to assist you in
determining if your business location meets Zoning
requirements and regulations.
The Environmental Health Department is available
to assist you in obtaining a sanitation permit for the
sale of food items.
The Alcohol and Beverage Commission (ABC) is
available to assist you in obtaining an alcohol
permit required for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
The Business Tax Collections office must view
actual permits prior to issuing local beer and wine
licenses.
The Register of Deeds is available to assist you in
registering an assumed name.

January of each year.
