Structure colofer ® classic 25
2-layer system, approx. 25 μm
Typical applications:
p Polyester cover coat, approx. 20 µm
p Primer coat, approx. 5 µm
p Substrate:
Hot-dip coated steel strip with a zinc layer thickness ranging between
200 and 275 g/m² or a zinc-magnesium coating with a minimum of 120 g/m²
p Bottom-side coating:
Standard delivery of colofer ® reverse with bottom-side paint coating
protection. Special requirements are subject to separate customer specification
(e.g., foamability, corrosion resistance).
p trapezoidal sections
p sandwich panels
p cassette elements
p air-conditioning systems
p garage doors
p roof applications
Weathering effects: Well suited to Continental European climate under normal
atmospheric stress in locations up to an elevation of 900 meters.
1) ® A slightly higher incidence of crack formation is to be expected in colofer corrender coated.
2) No delamination of coating on even surfaces throughout duration of guarantee. Some colors, especially those of darker shade, may
be subject to limitation. Color shades will change as a result of long-term stress at high temperature. Requests for further technical
information from your contact partner are recommended.
3) UV resistance depends heavily on color and the respective RUV class cannot be guaranteed for all colors. Colors covered by UV
resistance classes are noted in table 7 of the Technical Terms of Delivery for colofer ® . Please contact your responsible technical
expert for assistance in unclear cases.
4) ® The indicated guarantee periods apply only under compliance with colofer guarantee provisions.
5) The guarantee becomes applicable when delamination of the coating occurs on more than 5% of the installed surface area.
6) The guarantee becomes applicable when the limit values set forth in the Natural Weathering Standard are exceeded.
More detailed information on the natural weathering resistance of selected colors is available upon request. Because the exact color
selected plays an important role, it is necessary that the respective paint manufacturer contact our technical expert for consultation.
