Who is ROLLWASCH and
what’s its main activity field ?
Rollwasch Italiana S.p.a. is a company founded by Mr. Giuseppe Redaelli in Milan
in 1950. From then on we produce and sell machines and products for mass metal
finishing. Combining the right type of machines and products (finishing media
and/or chemical compounds) it is possible to develop several mass metal finishing
processes. In the field specific language these processes are named barrelling or
vibrofinishing or also tumbling (rumbling) processes. However you name them,
these processes are based on the concept of finishing a mass of parts, generally loaded
in bulk as loose pieces into the most suitable finishing machine. The pieces to be
finished can be of different materials with shapes and volumes going from a roller-pen
ball to a boat mould!
Thanks to our incredible experience developed in several fields (mainly industrial ones)
today we are able to provide all sorts of surface finishing processes, from deburring or
removal of fabrication polluting residuals, to surface smoothing, mirror polishing,

shading, preparation before painting or plating, ageing of marble and metals as well as
other materials, materials washing and cleaning with recycling-aim (environment),
cutlery washing (catering field), silverware bright-polishing (hotel industry), and many
others...
Today Rollwasch Italiana S.p.a. is a company dealing at international levels, with a
staff team of approx. 70 persons and three main units (machinery and systems
production unit; abrasives and chemical compounds production unit; logistic,
warehouse and distribution unit); with an overall units surface of approx. 20.000 sqm.
Approx. 10.000 sqm of the total surface has been conceived as sheltered areas.
The company head quarter is in Albiate that is located abt. 30 km. to the north of Milan.
Here you can find also tests-laboratory, offices and warehouse. The machinery
production department can rely on a subcontractors-network of abt. 300 units, which
have been selected in decennia of experience. Also this reliable network is contributing
to the high standards of quality and reliability of the achieved results and this in a very
flexible and competitive way. The chemical facility is a fully automatized factory
managed in compliance to ISO-9001 Vision 2000 standards. The whole Company
fully belongs to the Redaelli Family. The sales network is managed by Company's
specialists coordinating and cooperating with both domestic and foreign agents and
distributors. As from the beginning of years '90 the plants production department has
developed a complete programme of waste-water treating systems and
plants.

Mass metal finishing problems have a high heterogeneity level and a variety, which often
depend on specific manufacturing systems and methods, different sales markets and
different design requirements. This has brought the company Rollwasch® to deal with
each project as it was a single and unique one, thus granting an extreme professionalism.
The first step to get the best possible solution for each problem is the finishing process
trial, which is a free of charge test allowing identifying the first solution elements as (f.i.):
the batch volumes, the processing times, the compounds and their dosage, the
recommendable finishing media, etc. Furthermore this working method offers several
additional and parallel advantages like “tangible” results to be evaluated, the
opportunity to offer an overall budget and to study also the environmental solutions
(noise deadening, waste-water treatments, ergonomics) where needed. All this in a

A production programme among

Rollwasch Italiana S.p.A.® offers one of the most complete production and sales
programme all over the world in the barrelling and the vibrofinishing field. This
programme includes a wide-range of solutions, from the single stand-alone machine of
any size and type, to the more automated and sophisticated turn-key plants, to the
filtering systems and the industrial waste-water treatment pants, to an unbelievable line
of chemical compounds, plastic and ceramic abrasive “chips” and so many other
finishing "media".

Manual and automatic circular
vibratory finishing machines
Orbital is a manual type series of circular vibratory
finishing machines (for articles of big dimensions,
delicate ones or for self-barrelling processes), while
Softsiever is a machine series with automatic or
semiautomatic separation of the finished articles
from the chips or finishing "media".

Circular vibratory finishing machines of
any size and capacity, from 12 up to 1900 lt.

The Rollwasch programme of circular vibratory finishing machines offers a wide
choice of solutions, both for versions type and for machine capacity, from the small
SUPERMINOR model RWO-D-12 to the bigger ORBITAL model RWO-D-1900,

Automatic plants with linear machines
at continuous cycle.
Rollwasch Italian S.p.a. realizes all over the world automatic systems operating at
continuous cycle, achieving excellent productive and finishing results. The increasing
diffusion all over the world of our systems is due to three main reasons:

Vibratory dryers and other alternative
drying solutions
Our Vibratory dryers series SICOR with absorbing grit and our hot-air drying belt-tunnel
type DRYTUN RWE either with electric or with gas heating. We also have a complete
range of centrifugal dryers series HYDROMETAL.

In other words, specific drying
solutions at 360° degrees
Our vibratory dryers of the SICOR series with absorbing grit are also available in the fullautomatic
version and with special hardwearing linings - our hot-air drying tunnels of the
DRYTUN series are also available equipped with screw conveyor, and in the washdry
combined version.

Rollturbo disc finishing machines
for centrifugal force barrelling

The Rollturbo machine series is divided in two separate programmes: the series
named HI-TECH is considered as the top of this machines type thanks to its high level of
integrated automation; the series named BASIC offers a good solutions range of semiautomatic
and basic models for wet finishing processes.

RDF disc finishing machines for
DRY or WET centrifugal barrelling
The RDF (Rollwasch Disc Finishing) series differs from the classic Rollturbo series
for the reduced capacity of the machines (from 70 to 8 lts.) and for the possibility to effect
either DRY or WET processes.

Thanks to the "Diamond Microgap" solution the RDF series can treat very thin
articles. Thanks finally to some specific adjustments made on this extremely "technical"
series it is really possible to adopt highly innovative finishing techniques.

Rollwasch has a drag-finishing machines series named IPERMATIC, for processes by
means of polytrophic fixture. The heterogeneity of the articles that can be finished with
this type of machines has brought this series to a high development level with more and
more complete and technological models.

KTR system

The KTR plant is a real hyper-compact
system, designed to contain a whole series of
tanks in just one full-automatic operation
area. The KTR is a microprocessors- fullautomatic

realized in special stainless steel.

Since 1990 Rollwasch Italiana S.p.A. has renewed its production programme
including a series of chemical compounds and finishing media with low environmental
impact (without "strong polluting substances” difficult to be purified), named “Europe
series".

Today the programme of machines, systems and filters for the industrial waste water
treatment, named Rolldepur, is so wide as to require a 40 pages catalogue. This
combination of machines and products offers an environment respectful programme
with competitive and excellent finishing results.

A successful products finishing depends on the use of the right ceramic as well as
porcelain, steatite or plastic "chips" type. Very often the right choice in the "chips" type is
highly affecting and reducing the waste water treatment side as well as the filtering, the
separation, the sieving and the disposal ones. The series Rollmedia Plastic (plastic
abrasive chips), Rollmedia Ceramic (ceramic, porcelain, allumina and steatite
abrasive chips) and Rollmedia World (grits, wood-chips, and stainless-steel, metallic
and glass media) always provide the suitable solution to an endless variety of finishing
problems.
