Who is <strong>ROLLWASCH</strong> and<br />
what’s its main activity field ?<br />
Rollwasch Italiana S.p.a. is a company founded by Mr. Giuseppe Redaelli in Milan<br />
in 1950. From then on we produce and sell machines and products for mass metal<br />
finishing. Combining the right type of machines and products (finishing media<br />
and/or chemical compounds) it is possible to develop several mass metal finishing<br />
processes. In the field specific language these processes are named <strong>barrelling</strong> or<br />
<strong>vibrofinishing</strong> or also tumbling (rumbling) processes. However you name them,<br />
these processes are based on the concept of finishing a mass of parts, generally loaded<br />
in bulk as loose pieces into the most suitable finishing machine. The pieces to be<br />
finished can be of different materials with shapes and volumes going from a roller-pen<br />
ball to a boat mould!<br />
Thanks to our incredible experience developed in several fields (mainly industrial ones)<br />
today we are able to provide all sorts of surface finishing processes, from deburring or<br />
removal of fabrication polluting residuals, to surface smoothing, mirror polishing,
shading, preparation before painting or plating, ageing of marble and metals as well as<br />
other materials, materials washing and cleaning with recycling-aim (environment),<br />
cutlery washing (catering field), silverware bright-polishing (hotel industry), and many<br />
others...<br />
Today Rollwasch Italiana S.p.a. is a company dealing at international levels, with a<br />
staff team of approx. 70 persons and three main units (machinery and systems<br />
production unit; abrasives and chemical compounds production unit; logistic,<br />
warehouse and distribution unit); with an overall units surface of approx. 20.000 sqm.<br />
Approx. 10.000 sqm of the total surface has been conceived as sheltered areas.<br />
The company head quarter is in Albiate that is located abt. 30 km. to the north of Milan.<br />
Here you can find also tests-laboratory, offices and warehouse. The machinery<br />
production department can rely on a subcontractors-network of abt. 300 units, which<br />
have been selected in decennia of experience. Also this reliable network is contributing<br />
to the high standards of quality and reliability of the achieved results and this in a very<br />
flexible and competitive way. The chemical facility is a fully automatized factory<br />
managed in compliance to ISO-9001 Vision 2000 standards. The whole Company<br />
fully belongs to the Redaelli Family. The sales network is managed by Company's<br />
specialists coordinating and cooperating with both domestic and foreign agents and<br />
distributors. As from the beginning of years '90 the plants production department has<br />
developed a complete programme of waste-water treating systems and<br />
plants.

Mass metal finishing problems have a high heterogeneity level and a variety, which often<br />
depend on specific manufacturing systems and methods, different sales markets and<br />
different design requirements. This has brought the company Rollwasch® to deal with<br />
each project as it was a single and unique one, thus granting an extreme professionalism.<br />
The first step to get the best possible solution for each problem is the finishing process<br />
trial, which is a free of charge test allowing identifying the first solution elements as (f.i.):<br />
the batch volumes, the processing times, the compounds and their dosage, the<br />
recommendable finishing media, etc. Furthermore this working method offers several<br />
additional and parallel advantages like “tangible” results to be evaluated, the<br />
opportunity to offer an overall budget and to study also the environmental solutions<br />
(noise deadening, waste-water treatments, ergonomics) where needed. All this in a<br />

Manual and automatic circular<br />
vibratory finishing machines<br />
Orbital is a manual type series of circular vibratory<br />
finishing machines (for articles of big dimensions,<br />
delicate ones or for self-<strong>barrelling</strong> processes), while<br />
Softsiever is a machine series with automatic or<br />
semiautomatic separation of the finished articles<br />
from the chips or finishing "media".
Circular vibratory finishing machines of<br />

The Rollwasch programme of circular vibratory finishing machines offers a wide<br />
choice of solutions, both for versions type and for machine capacity, from the small<br />

The Rollturbo machine series is divided in two separate programmes: the series<br />
named HI-TECH is considered as the top of this machines type thanks to its high level of<br />
integrated automation; the series named BASIC offers a good solutions range of semiautomatic<br />
and basic models for wet finishing processes.
RDF disc finishing machines for<br />
DRY or WET centrifugal <strong>barrelling</strong><br />
The RDF (Rollwasch Disc Finishing) series differs from the classic Rollturbo series<br />
for the reduced capacity of the machines (from 70 to 8 lts.) and for the possibility to effect<br />
either DRY or WET processes.
Thanks to the "Diamond Microgap" solution the RDF series can treat very thin<br />
articles. Thanks finally to some specific adjustments made on this extremely "technical"<br />
series it is really possible to adopt highly innovative finishing techniques.

separation, the sieving and the disposal ones. The series Rollmedia Plastic (plastic<br />
abrasive chips), Rollmedia Ceramic (ceramic, porcelain, allumina and steatite<br />
