The forecast is for Cloud. Marcus Wright of <strong>GMG</strong>-owned Complete Workflow Solutions (CWS) tells us how companies are benefitting from Cloud technology. W hether you are a one-man band or a large corporate you can’t avoid the term ‘Cloud Computing’ these days. The idea that you need to have lots of expensive servers taking up valuable square footage in your office is no longer appealing to companies – ‘let someone else manage the problem’ seems to be the general consensus of opinion, and why wouldn’t you?
The above points are all important business drivers, highlighting that the Cloud model can really make a difference to organizations throughout our industry. It is certainly no longer the case that you have to store and manage everything locally. Built on Xinet, the industry leading DAM solution, it allows you to host all your assets, whether they are images, pdf’s, Microsoft Offi ce documents, videos or swf fi les. The solution can be tailored to individual requirements, providing a fl exible and robust but also cost effective digital asset management solution. Our integration between Xinet WebNative and the SaaS based ProofHQ approval system has proved extremely popular within the media industry. Its ease of use and rapid setup means that companies can be up and running very quickly, which is one of the key benefi ts of any SaaS/Cloud based deployment. ProofHQ operates on a pay as you go based costing model, which again, removes all the expensive set up costs. ProofHQ can also be added to Topaz to create your complete cloud based DAM/Approvals solution.
