The Year 2010 at Graupner
80th Anniversary with Air Show
It is the year 2010, and Graupner looks back upon a history
of 80 years. To properly celebrate this occasion, an
anniversary air show was held on 12 September 2010.
At the starting line were invited pilots of renown and
rank, such as F4C World Champion Max Merckenschlager
with his Stinson A1, Peter Michel with an MD 11
Lufthansa-Cargo, Robert Otte with a Citation CJ3, along
with Klaus Lenhart in a synchronous flight of an EXTRA
330SC with Albert Winter and a model EXTRA 300. The
scene of the action was the glider airport in Dettingen/
Teck. At the 15th Model Flight Day of MFG Dettingen,
Graupner was able to celebrate its anniversary in flight
on a great public stage.
Heli Academy 2010
Another edition of the Heli Academy was held at the end of September in the seminar rooms at GRAUPNER. The
speakers Fred Annecke, Norbert Wybranietz, and Raimund Zimmermann provided an interesting and informative
program on both seminar days and not only provided valuable assistance in building, programming, and flying-in,
but also conveyed theoretical and practical expert knowledge in the area of model helicopters through attractively
designed workshops and training flights with the GRAUPNER LOGO 10 Compact ARF. Everyone agreed that the “Heli
Academy” had provided an important basis for entry into the fascinating world of RC helicopters. More information

Model Building Action Days at “Ravensburger Spieleland”
In August, Graupner hosted the Model Building Action Days. The attractions included breathtaking air shows and
exciting model car demonstrations, as well as car and boat racing for everyman.
This was the third time that the Model Building Action Days had been held at the Adventure Playground of “Käpt’n
Blaubär” and his crew. The model building experts at Graupner showed the best tricks in the air as well as on the
water. The Spieleland Lake was the province of racing boats, cruisers, and beginners’ boats. The event field was
transformed into an airport, and the ambitious pilots among the visitors to Spieleland were given a hands-on opportunity

Teck Cup
The Teck Flying Cup is one of the greatest and most traditional
of all model flying competitions. The simplified flight
mission, as well as the challenges and attractive landscape
of the flight field provide this event with its particular flair.
This was the 48th time that this competition was held under
the auspices of Graupner. Nearly 200 participants came to
Teck on the first weekend of September to test their skills
against the competition. The 49th Cup will be held on 10/11

New 2.4 GHz Transmission
Technology HoTT
On the occasion of the trade fair “Faßzination Modellbau”
in Friedrichshafen, the new 2.4-GHz transmission
technology HoTT was announced. The appropriate
press representatives were invited to the press conference.
The technical features of this technology were
received with as much enthusiasm as the immediate
availability of individual HoTT products. HoTT combines
intelligent and reliable transmission in the 2.4-GHz
band with extensive integrated telemetry functions.
Yes, we can fly” – Rookie Flying to
Recruit New Model Flyers
“Yes, we can fly” was created so that young people 10
and older who are interested in model sport flying could
find some help getting started in the hobby. Together
with the clubs MSC Kirchheim, MFG Dettingen, Wolf
Hirth Kirchheim, and MFC Schlierbach, four different
dates were offered during school vacation. That provided
them with their first contact to model flying and
to the club. The young people were able to control an
electric glider in teacher/pupil mode. ROOKIE-S electric
models were used; all equipped with teacher/pupil remote
control systems. For the year 2011, a continuation

Ship Model Cup Bürgerseen, Whitsuntide 2010
On the two Whitsuntide holidays, the now traditional “GRAUPNER Schiffsmodellcup” started with a new attendance
record, thanks also to the simply perfect weather. The first event belonged to the racers. About 100 pilots started in
various racing classes, providing exciting racing action for themselves and the interested spectators as they battled
for the best places. On Sunday the spectators were treated to the popular show runs. From steamship to racing boat,
the participants presented the complete range of ship model building at its finest. The employees of Graupner also
presented and demonstrated new items and other highlights from recent years.
Show Room with Factory Sales
The Show Room has been restructured and now includes
not only a continuous product exhibition in the
areas of aircraft, boat, and car but also a factory sales
area. Offered here are odd lots, seconds, and excess
inventory from our current product range.
