Getting to the centre<br />
Timisoara airport is six miles from<br />
the city centre. Take bus no. 26 to the<br />
centre, with stops at Badea Cartan<br />
Square and the Continental Hotel.<br />

The Bega Channel is the oldest ship<br />
canal in Romania. Built in 1728, it<br />
continues 72km into Serbia. Today,<br />
amusement parks line its banks.<br />
